If approved by the Court, Class Members who submit a valid Claim Form by March 20, 2017 will receive, for each Policy held during the Class Period, 85% of the first Renewal Billing Fee they paid, 40% of the second Renewal Billing Fee they paid (if applicable), and 23% of any subsequent Renewal Billing Fees they paid (if applicable). During the Class Period, Renewal Billing Fees ranged from $8.00 to $15.00. Example payment calculation:

Fee Type Fee Amount Percent Total
    First Renewal Billing Fee $15.00 x 0.85 $12.75
    Second Renewal Billing Fee $15.00 x 0.40 $6.00
    Subsequent Renewal Billing Fees $30.00 x 0.23 $6.90
    $25.65

  12. Mary says:

I received the claim form in the mail and I decided to participate, but only after I took some time to check out the website and research it a bit more (=.5 hrs) since “they ” contacted me. Without calculating any pay off vs cost for my time, etc. So I did some reading and I printed the claim form, (ink +) signed it, copied it, (.25 hrs) then drove it to U.S.Post Office, (+ .25 hrs + gas) bought a stamp (+ $.50+10 min in line) & mailed it (i prefer u.s. mail).
My investment is: an hour + of my time online,= $65. + Ink & paper to print, =$.60 + $ .20 envelope to mail it, +

$1.25 gas to get to post office, time spent in line at uspo = $9., cost of a stamp =$.50, mail it, return home + $3. That’s $79.55 for a payoff of less than $30 from this? Is that correct? That can’t be.

    ADMIN – Hi Mary,

You always have the option to object to a settlement and hire your own legal representation.

  13. Steven says:

When will the checks be mailed out if u send your forms in b4 the dead line

    ADMIN – Hi Thevesha,

I see that this settlement had a deadline for submissions of 3/20, usually it takes about a year for individuals to receive their payments. Longer if someone appeals.

  15. Taya says:

I why does the claim lie and makes us think we are the ones getting $2500 back when we are not

    ADMIN – Hi Taya,

The settlement terms indicate that the amounts may vary based on the number of qualified claims.

  19. Jose says:

Why my check is too low????? $12.75?????? I am so angry

    ADMIN – Hi Jose,

I don’t know the particulars about your check. The job of the class action administrator is to ensure you receive your fair share. In the case of a pro rata settlement your monies is simply an equal part of the pool.

  20. Elizabeth says:

Where can you cash these settlement checks at?

    I would suggest your bank.

  21. Delores Jean Arden says:

I received a check but it says i can’t cash it at any check cashing place or money service, so where can i cash it?

    ADMIN – Hi Delores,

How about you deposit it at the bank?

    • Kim C. says:

*Another option-*Take it to the bank on the check! If you don’t have the bank in your area you can also call to see if there is a Sister Bank that would cash it for you.

  22. Rafael Cervantes says:

After being ripped off another rip off as well atleast 1000 bucks would be cool after so long of wait 12.75 check ridiculous

    ADMIN – Hi Rafael,

    Did you file for damages?

  23. Kim C. says:

Kind of confused on the dispersed amount I was told I would get a decent amount but got way under that, why is that? Did y’all send out the high amount in hopes you get people to jump on board and throw pennies in the end? Why didn’t I get the amount I was told in the notice? Before the settlement I could talk to a person but now that the checks have been issued I can’t reach anyone! I now know why I don’t participate in things like this. Very disappointed.

    ADMIN – Hi Kim,

This settlement was pro rata. Meaning the pool was divided by the total of valid claim.

  24. Anonymous says:

    I received $190.
