Case Summary

The lawsuit alleges that Chase, the provider of debit cards aimed at disbursing funds from prisoner’s trusts as well as money earned while in prison charged excessive fees thus is accused of unjust enrichment. Chase has agreed to settle and will refund qualified applicants all fees and surcharges associated to the use of their debit card. Additionally, if funds remain after all qualified class members have been paid these funds will be distributed pro rata among all qualified class members.

    When you sent me a form it asked for me to put my Debit Card account number in.Is that just the number that is on the front of our Chase debit cards because Chase Bank told me that we don’t have any bank or savings accounts do that card?

    Good evening, I filed my claims directly online before the March 6,2017 deadline and have yet received compensation for fees and losses. From my understanding, the debit card settlement was to be resolved April 10,2017. As of now I am still waiting for compensation through the mail. Today is may 17, 2017, it’s been nearly 3 months now and still no pay-out. How long does this sort of thing usually take. I have a claims number and bar code from when I completed the claims process online. Please respond!!!
