I ordered this product a couple years ago Tennessee

    • Renette Powell says:

I ordered proactiv a couple of times , once from QVC on tv and the next time proactiv contact me and ask told me, they were sending me another order of their skin care products out to me. I ask the operator not to send me anymore because this product did not help my skin problems. The operator on the phone told me that she would not send anymore proactiv to me. This operator continue to send this product to my home although I ask her not too. They charge 29.99-89.99. This continues about a year. The company was taking money out of my banking account without my permission. This continue until I contact the customer service and threaten to get in contact with consumer affair. I had to contact my bank and make them aware of what was going on. Each time they would send the product to my home I would make sure I send it back to their company and tell them why I did not want any more of their products.

  2. Jean Major says:

This was at least six years ago when I bought the product, paid for it, later received products that I didn’t order, carried unopened box to post office to be returned, they are still trying to collect money from me.

  3. Kathleen says:

Why is this CA only. I had been scammed with this too here in MI

    ADMIN – Hi Kathleen,

If you believe you have a class action you can contact a class action attorney in your area and see if they are willing to investigate.

  4. Denise Price says:

My son and I bought this in Utah. They kept billing even though we kept returning. It didn’t even help him as it was! How about a nationwide suit? So many in other states were affected as well.

  5. Pam Curtis says:

Pro Activ works but their billing is horrible! Once they get your info, they ship every month and bill forever!!!! I tried and tried to cancel in writing but they ignored it!! Pam from Ohio

  6. Diana Lopez says:

Proactive kept billing long after I asked them to STOP.

  7. maria rosas says:

  9. Tammie Kasten says:

I ordered proactive after seeing the infomercial for $19.95. A month later my bank account for hit for $45.00 and overdrew my account. Then they billed me every month after I told them to cancel me.

  10. MICHELLE COLLINS says:

Why not nation wide, I live in Wisconsin.. They have done the same to me as to all of you.. How can these companies get away with this.. I am a hard working single mom of 2.. The first intoduction price was $19.99. The next month $45.00 later, I had a over draft on my account. I called them numerous time to stop sending this product to me.. But they still keeped taking money out of my account.. I had to block them from my account.. What a flipping joke.. Why is there only settlement in certain states…

    ADMIN – Hi Michelle,
Because consumer protection laws vary from one state to another.

  11. Mary L. James says:

I purchase this proactive product. I would rather receive a gift certificate instead of products.

    ADMIN – Hi Mary,

Great to hear. But please note that leaving a comment here does not constitute a claim.

  12. Stephanie Jones says:

If you ever start a claim for Massachusetts I would like to join. I asked them to stop billing me and they did not and now its on my credit report. I refuse to pay them when I asked them to stop. I think it’s unfair it’s on my credit report.

  13. KELLY CAIN says:

Why is this only for California customers?? Myself and other here in GA would like to be a part of this claim towards this crappy company!!

    ADMIN – Hi Kelly,

This is because consumer protection laws are different in each state.

  14. Travis says:

I was on an automatic delivery system, even though I ordered only once. This suit should not just be for California. Had to call their representatives several times.. They took from my checking account twice for products I no longer wanted.

    ADMIN – Hi Travis,

Every state has different consumer protection laws. If you believe you were wronged and Proactiv violated local laws contact a class action attorney.

  15. Autum V says:

I feel like this has happened in ALL STATES and should be nationwide. I am in Wyoming and this happened to me too. I was very upset that my account was overdrawn, I was charged an overdraft fee, and the product did not work, but caused me to have hives!!!

  16. Darlene Walker says:

I purchased a order and they charged me two more times, Three total in all. I didn’t give them permission to do this. Indiana

  17. Gwen says:

I’ve had the same problem. They keep sending me the products and I didn’t ask to be enrolled in autopay.
