The Settlement provides relief for all Class Members, who are described as all users or subscribers to a wireless or cellular telephone service within the United States who used or subscribed to a phone number to which Wells Fargo Dealer Services made or initiated any collection Call during the Class Period (i.e., from April 1, 2011 to March 30, 2016), in connection with an automobile retail installment sales contract, using any automated dialing technology or artificial or prerecorded voice technology, according to Wells Fargo’s available records.

The Class Representative filed this Action alleging that Wells Fargo violated the TCPA by using an automatic telephone dialing system and/or an artificial or prerecorded voice to call or text cell phones without the prior express consent of the recipients. Wells Fargo denies that it did anything wrong, or that this case is appropriate for treatment as a class action.
