  6. Wayne M Hinklin says:

When I joined on a month to month membership it was with the understanding that my membership fees would be for life at the rate I signed up for. Yet they continue to raise my rates once or twice a year. Not by much but they do raise them. This suit should be about the members who are on a month by month program too.

    ADMIN – Hi Wayne,

If you believe you have a potential lawsuit contact your closest class action attorney to review the case.

  7. Pam Zollinger says:

I really wish I could get into this Class Action Settlement, I used to be a member, till I was diagnosed with MS and unable to go to the gym anymore, I wrote many letters letting them know I was unable to continue using there gym, with no response from anyone, not even the head quarters office, but they didn’t have an issue turning my account over to a collection company, which I’m still paying to, for something I can’t even use anymore, I will never recommend this GYM to anyone ever!!! Good luck with your claims. Kind regard’s..

    ADMIN – Hi Pam,

Unless the contract had a health clause they are entitled to collect.

What if you signed the contract before April 1st, 2006? I also signed up for a prepaid membership lifetime with no raise in annual cost. I tried filling out the claim form, but it keeps rejecting me.

    ADMIN – Hi Arti,

Per the terms of the settlement you are not a member of the class

  10. ELLEN SAWYERS says:

I have been a member over 20 year who do I need to contact for claim number and agreement number

    ADMIN – Hi Ellen,

This has nothing to do with how long you have been a member. It has to do with changes in terms to contracts that offered permanent pricing for the lifetime of the member.

You didn’t read my question correctly. I FILED the papers for this lawsuit. I am asking if there is an update on what is going to happen, because I just received my annual billing from 24Hr and no change in price has happened. So I am trying to find out the STATUS of the lawsuit and when we will be communicated with. Please advise…..

      ADMIN – Hi Christine,

  17. Fernando says:

    Hi

I have a lifetime membership with 24 Hour Fitness. The one where they said I wouldn’t have my membership fees yearly. I submitted my claim form. Although the settlement hasn’t been received yet, . I recently received a bill $99.00 for this years membership dues. I thought this class action suit was supposed to resolve this issue. Do I have to pay this yearly membership dues of $99.00?

    Fernando Montes De Oca
    626-253-6150

    ADMIN – Hi Fernando,

Reach out to the class action administrator. I don’t think the intent of the settlement was to eliminate your annual dues, it is more intended to ensure your dues remain the same as indicated in the initial contract.

  18. Toua Vang says:

I got the notice that it was going to go up from $49.99 to $99/year back in 2015 and I did not agree to that b/c the sales rep told me that it would never increase as long as you pay that $49.99/year. I said, “Not for me” and left. But it sounds like I can get back my membership at the $49.99/year deal I got back then.

What is the result thus far? I would really like to know.

    Thanks,

    ADMIN – Hi Toua,

    Did you file a claim?

  19. Brenda Butigan says:

What is the status of the hearing on June 1st?

Is the settlement finalized and the refund coming?

    ADMIN – Hi Brenda,

At the moment the class action administrator has not posted any updates.

  20. Lonnie Lukes says:

How do we get a hold of the class action administrator?

    ADMIN – Hi Lonnie,

    1-888-773-8392.

  21. Lonnie Lukes says:

Did the hearing happen on June 1? I haven’t seen any updates on anything.

    ADMIN – Hi Lonnie,

    It appears it did.

  22. Jay says:

I was a member but let my membership lapse because of the increases. I just found out about the suit being settled, and didn’t not receive a claim from. Can I still get my membership back?

    ADMIN – Hi Jay,

    No

  23. Blissey says:

The claim is that form they sent you in the mail to mail back? Also my membership when from 49.99 to 230.00 a year does that mean ill get reimburse for all those years? And hopefully my membership didn’t get messed or effect my reimbursement up cause at one point they canceled my membership in 2017 by error and had to re enroll me back to my original prepaid plan which totally erased my track record on how many times I went into the gym.

    ADMIN – Hi Blissey,

Yes that is the claim. As for your share of the settlement your best bet is to contact the class action administrator, they will give you the specifics.

  24. Chinh says:

I have not heard anything since I submitted my claimed. When and by whom should I expect to get more information by?
