Class Eligibility

To be a member of this class you must be a policy holder with Alliance United Insurance Company who paid their premium in full when renewing their Policy, and who paid one or more Renewal Billing Fees” during the period of June 16, 2011 and Dec. 27, 2015.

As a class member you will have to submit a different claim for each policy you held during the period

  • 85% of the first Renewal Billing Fee they paid
  • 40% of the second Renewal Billing Fee they paid (if applicable)
  • 23% of any subsequent Renewal Billing Fees they paid (if applicable)

During the Class Period, Renewal Billing Fees ranged from $8 to $15. The Claim Form you received with the Class Notice, tells you how much you paid in Renewal Billing Fees, so you can see how much you may receive under the settlement.

    I received the claim form in the mail and I decided to participate, but only after I took some time to check out the website and research it a bit more (=.5 hrs) since “they ” contacted me. Without calculating any pay off vs cost for my time, etc. So I did some reading and I printed the claim form, (ink +) signed it, copied it, (.25 hrs) then drove it to U.S.Post Office, (+ .25 hrs + gas) bought a stamp (+ $.50+10 min in line) & mailed it (i prefer u.s. mail).
    My investment is: an hour + of my time online,= $65. + Ink & paper to print, =$.60 + $ .20 envelope to mail it, +

    $1.25 gas to get to post office, time spent in line at uspo = $9., cost of a stamp =$.50, mail it, return home + $3. That’s $79.55 for a payoff of less than $30 from this? Is that correct? That can’t be.

    I see that this settlement had a deadline for submissions of 3/20, usually it takes about a year for individuals to receive their payments. Longer if someone appeals.

    Kind of confused on the dispersed amount I was told I would get a decent amount but got way under that, why is that? Did y’all send out the high amount in hopes you get people to jump on board and throw pennies in the end? Why didn’t I get the amount I was told in the notice? Before the settlement I could talk to a person but now that the checks have been issued I can’t reach anyone! I now know why I don’t participate in things like this. Very disappointed.

    Hi my name is KIMBERLEE .villasenor. i just wanted to make sure you revived my claim on time in a Timley manor I used my unique idenifer # the class action letter I recived in the mail stated each sepertarly plarf named in the class action is lntitled to 2500 $ apice I payed 15 $ renewel fee so the 2500 the judge awarded each individual sepuratly person who is named in the class action settelment is intiled to 2500.
