  1. Tina Vassar says:

I purchased 4 cans of this for the back of my house.

    ADMIN – Hi Tina,

It sounds like you are a class member.

    • henry batz says:

Hi Tina, I bought four cans to do my 15×40 deck. It destroyed my deck. I sent in photos and had to tear the whole deck this summer. The paint was all in the cracks; it looked bad. I bought two thousand dollars in wood and stain. I had built a smaller deck. I pulled the muscle in my back having to do all that work. I have the receipts for the wood and stain. Hi Tina, I sent in photos and told them what happened. Do I have to do anything else? Please call me 5860604-5936. Any time is best after 4pm EST, thank you.

ADMIN – Hi, Henry. Sorry to hear that. However, there appears to be a misunderstanding. Tina is a *customer* and potential Class Member like yourself, so we’re not sure why you are asking her to contact you about this issue. We (classactionrebates.com) are *not* the settlement/claims administrator of this case either — we are only an online “newspaper” of various class action settlements involving various companies. Please check the settlement website for any settlement check concerns, updates on the issue, and/or contact the Settlement Administrator directly, if you haven’t already done so. The details are stated above; just scroll up. Thank you, and best of luck.

  2. Christine Ross says:

What if i have the empt cans.but not the receipt.

    ADMIN – Hi Christine,

Try contacting the class action administrator and see if they will accept photos of the barcode.

  3. Diana Wroblewski says:

Can I file after contacting Behr when the product peeled off. I was contacted by Behr and after sending photos of the peeling deck, I received a reimbursement of 2 additional 5 gallon buckets of Deck Over. Would that be double dipping? Incidentally, after scraping, washing and reapplying, it still peeled.

    ADMIN – Hi Diana,

Contact the class action admin. I think you can still claim for the expenses associated to removal.

    • Diana Wroblewski says:

Here’s an update on my case. Since Behr replaced the paint at no expense to me, I have no receipt for the second application. Now the deck looks even worse, as moisture was sealed under the paint causing the wood to deteriorate. Over the winter, large areas have peeled off. Now, amidst the Corona Virus limitations, we must replace the deck as we fear the entire deck structure has been compromised, in addition to looking like it has been neglected for decades.

  4. David R Hammond says:

I bought a of 8 gallons of deck over.however I didn’t save receipts or cans cause this was a little over two years ago. Who really saves receipts for products like this for that long or empty cans. Most of the time the receipts end up like blank paper if they get damp or left on the dash for a few days. How do I make a claim with no proof or am I SUPPOSE S.O.L

    ADMIN – Hi David,

    From the FAQ

    a. Refund

Class Members may receive a refund by submitting a completed Claim Form with, among other things, the following information: (1) the number gallons of DeckOver purchased; (2) the approximate square footage of the surface to which DeckOver was applied; (3) the price per gallon paid (if known); (4) proof of purchase of DeckOver products consisting of any of the following: (i) receipts; (ii) a photograph of an opened DeckOver container that the Class Member affirms having purchased during the Class Period; (iii) a formula sticker or UPC label taken from a DeckOver container; or (iv) other competent proof; and (5) proof of a problem related to the performance of DeckOver.

Each Class Member who provides the information described above will receive a full refund, less up to 20% in reimbursed attorney fees or litigation expenses (as discussed in FAQ 14). Class Members who do not provide proof of purchase that contains the amount spent on DeckOver will be compensated at thirty dollars ($30.00) per gallon, again subject to attorney fees and litigation expenses.

    b. Compensation for Removal or Repair

Class Members shall be eligible to receive compensation from Behr relating to removing DeckOver or otherwise repairing their decks upon submitting a completed Claim Form with the following information: (a) the same information listed directly above under the 8-a “Refund” section, including the approximate square footage of the surface to which the DeckOver was applied; and (b) proof of damage to a deck or other substrate relating to the performance of DeckOver and consisting of (i) an invoice or estimate from a contractor to address damage to a deck or other substrate; or (ii) a receipt for supplies or equipment used to repair damage to a deck or other substrate; or (iii) other competent proof.

Each Class Member who provides the information described above will receive seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of removing DeckOver and otherwise repairing their decks (provided that compensation will not exceed six dollars ($6) per square foot of substrate damage), less up to 20% in reimbursed attorney fees or litigation expenses (as discussed in FAQ 14).

Class Members who cannot provide the information in subsection (b) and attest that they repaired damage caused by DeckOver and that they cannot provide estimates, invoices or receipts for the repair work, will receive seventy-five percent of four dollars ($4) per square foot for the substrate’s surface area (again, less up to 20% in reimbursed attorney fees or litigation expenses (as discussed in FAQ 14).

    c. Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Class Members who are not satisfied with the relief offered above may opt to participate in a free alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”) process by selecting ADR on the Claim Form.

The Class Action Settlement Administrator will then provide additional information regarding the ADR process. ADR shall be conducted before Hon. Wayne Andersen (ret.) at JAMS, at Behr’s expense and based upon written submissions only, unless the Class Member seeking ADR requests otherwise.

    • Cyndi Bemis says:

      Dear Mr. Hammond.

I am contacting your company once again to get updated information about the failure of your Deckover product. It has been 2+ years since I used the product, which failed three times. In the meantime, the deck gets worse by the day.

I expect that your company will live up to your promise to repair the deck properly at no cost to me, and to refund the money I spent on the product.

I am writing you in good faith. I can be reached at
      1-801-550-4228.

      Regards,

      Cyndi Bemis
      Sandy, UT

ADMIN – Hi Cyndi, It appears you have misunderstood our post as well as Mr. Hammond’s comment. Mr. Hammond is *not* the owner of the company — he is a Behr DeckOver customer like yourself. Neither is he the settlement administrator of this case. We are *not* the settlement administrators of this case either. Please reread the original post above. Hope you contacted the Settlement Admins directly via the Contact info given and/or their website.

  5. Sally Sanders says:

I purchase 4 can and still had to replace my deck this year but have no recipes of anything what can I do to be eligible

    ADMIN – Hi Sally,

Do you still have the cans? Could you ask Home Depot to search for your receipts by credit card #?

    • DARRYL C SIMON says:

      WHEN WILL WE GET REPARATIONS?

ADMIN – Hi, Darryl. The amount of time that it takes to get your rebate varies a lot. Sometimes it is as soon as 2 months after the settlement closing date. Sometimes it takes much longer. Also, please note that we (classactionrebates.com) are *not* the Settlement Administrator of this case. We only post opportunities for potential Class Members of various settlements on this website. If you filed a claim and are waiting for your check, please check the settlement website for any updates on the issue, and/or contact the Settlement Administrator directly, if you haven’t already done so. The details are stated above; just scroll up. Thank you, and best of luck.

  6. Sherry Ottens i says:

We used Restore brand on ours it has done the same thing, any hope there???

    ADMIN – Hi Sherry,

The Restore settlement was already paid out.

  7. adam says:

If I purchased this product on 3 different occasions during this time frame, am I suppose to submit 3 separate claims because it doesnt allow you to submit more than one receipt per claim form?

    ADMIN – Hi Adam,

Reach out to the class action administrator via email to obtain clarification.

  8. chesley says:

I sent a claim because I had to remove all of the decking around the pool area. I couldn’t sand the entire area and while it was a huge job there was nothing else to do. I believe that behr is going to do the right thing because they are an ethical company. I am sure they are interested in not trashing their own brand. Its too bad because when the coating ( which was essentially a latex paint with a fine silica particles suspended) was first on I was pretty proud of that look. I stil do consider their regular paint products to be of higher quality and when making paint purchases in the future Behr will be high on my list. I understand formulation , It is pretty
complex but I dont think they locked in the adherent properties close enough. It might have worked if they gave specific instructions about applying the deck over on top of a high tech primer. I think this is very key. It needed to bond to an equally high tech polymeric primer base prior to application of the deckover to prevent the peeling .
There are some amazing acrylic bonding agents out there that could have been employed. I wish them luck in the future. They are a good company and they employ a lot families.

  9. Sandie says:

I purchased 5 can of deck over back in 2015. It was terrible. I went to Home Depot and complained and they would do nothing because it was the following year that I complained. We did the deck over in September of 2015. During the winter it basically peeled up in places. I could pull of piece and tug on it and it would just peel up. I paid cash and Home Depot said I needed receipt. I no longer had the receipt. Home Depot basically said sorry about your luck. Never thought until now to contact behr, but I guess now that that’s even to late to do.
We spent dayssssss scrapping deck over off…then sanded the wood. Then went to Lowes and bought paint. That was in 2016 and the paint still looks decent

  10. Adam bock says:

I had applied this to my front and back deck after following all the preparation listed before applying. Within 2 years it looked horrible. I contacted behr and had to send picsof my decks and containers and the receipts and they sent me replacements around 35 gallons and they prep wash. Again within 2 years my decks look horrible on top of that the deck over trapped water under it and ended up making my decks rot. I’m out alot of money and time because of this product. I have emails from behr about these issues. Seems they new long ago this product was defective although they tried to initially blame it on poor preparation before applying the deck over. It would be nice to get some Justice for the little guys finally!

    • Shirl A Hathaway says:

I had the same problem after applying deck stain in late summer, guaranteed for 10 years if I used their cleaner. I followed directions, but stain flaked off by spring, so I never even got a chance to enjoy it. I am still fighting with Behr because all they want to do is pay for the paint remover and nothing to redo the deck which is deteriorating. Home Depot won’t do anything about it either. I had no idea there was a class action suit and should have checked the web for these comments. Not only will I not purchase and of their products, but I will no longer shop at Home Depot. I had a new house and spent over $100,000 there in the past 10 years on improvements, landscaping, basement completion, building a deck, etc..

  11. Lon Britton says:

How soon after filing a claim can one expect to be reimbursed?

    ADMIN – Hi Lon,

If the settlement is subject to appeals it can take years.

  12. Lucia D Brunney says:

    On Dec 10, 2017 I sent a certified claim # 7017 3040 0000 5950 8500 to PO Box 15850, Phil,PA 19103.
As of this date it has not been picked up and the post office informed me it will be returned to me. Please pick up this as it includes form, proof of purchase and all damage caused as well as cost to repair.

    ADMIN – Hi Lucia,

We are not the class a action administrators and we cannot help you with this request.

  13. Clark miedel says:

What i want to know is who saves reciepts from 2 weeks ago let alone 2 years ago ? looks like im screwed again !

    ADMIN – Hi Clark,

I do! Mainly because I run a small business. I am sorry this is super frustrating. Perhaps you still have the cans in the garage.

  14. T Moulder says:

My two decks pelled up the next summer.

  15. Candace Dagnello says:

I have been told that the suit has been settled in court. Today 2/6/2019, I received a request to file a claim which I already did along with pictures, receipts, etc. claim #10004292 claim code 980922. My deck has not been repaired due to the weather and my medical issues, so I could not send in cost of repairs due to the damage that DeckOver did to my deck! Therefore is the suit settled? Thank you.

ADMIN – Hi, Candace. Sorry to hear that. However, since we are only a newspaper of class action settlements, we have no direct connection to the cases we report about. As soon as we hear of open settlements, we post the news here; what happens to the settlement after that, we no longer post about. It’s up to our subscribers to follow up directly with their respective claims/settlement administrators and/or check directly on the settlement website (always linked above) for updates. Hope you eventually got in touch with the settlement admin.

  16. Linda DAmbrosio says:

I submitted my papers back in Sept. 23, 2018 online email with receipts, pictures, and lots of other info requested and still have not heard anything. What is the status?

  17. peter knickerbocker says:

I submitted forms and photos and receipts from work done quite some time ago. I haven’t heard or received anything but the registered mail receipt from the post office. Will I have a settlement or at least a notification of a settlement anytime soon???

ADMIN – Hi, Peter. Sorry to hear that. However, since we are only a newspaper of class action settlements, we have no direct connection to the cases we report about. 18. Shirley A Hathaway says:

I purchased Behr Deck and Stain Water-proofing that was guaranteed for 10 years if I used their cleaner. I applied it according to instructions in late summer and by spring it was just about all flaked off. When contacting Behr, all they will do is pay for the paint remover and nothing to replace the stain—which is probably a good thing since after reading many comments, it just repeated the problem. Home Depot refused to do anything either. This is a large 30 ft. by 20 ft. deck with a side deck and reading nook that is deteriorating quickly. I never had a problem in the past with their deck and waterproofing when their cleaner wasn’t used. I thought that it would be my last time that I had to stain my deck since I am nearing 80 years old and now have a pacemaker and can’t redo the deck by myself. So this is costing me more than I can afford. If they knew the product was bad and had this many complaints, why were they allowed to continue selling the product?

ADMIN – Hi, Shirley, Sorry to hear you went through all that. Your question is as good as ours: why did they continue selling the product? Hope you eventually had some kind souls help you in sorting out your deck problems.

  19. Hugh Williams says:

Just realized there was a class action suit against Behr Deckover. I purchased 12 cans 2 years ago and my deck is ruined. Any chance of getting in on this settlement?

ADMIN – Hi Hugh, As a rule, if anyone misses the claims deadline, they can no longer file a claim for that particular settlement. The claims deadline expired 02/09/2019.

  20. Bruce Reitman says:

I filed a claim with receipt and pictures, when can I expect a settlement? My ramp and rail are going to need to be redone this summer.

ADMIN – Hi, Bruce. Thank you for your message. The amount of time that it takes to get your rebate varies a lot. Sometimes it is as soon as 2 months after the settlement closing date. 22. Bob Lody says:

I have not heard anything about the result of this Behr DeckOver Stain Class Action Lawsuit yet. I’m wondering if I will be getting a refund for the expenses I submitted several months ago or not? Please let me know the status of my claim. Thanks.
    Bob Lody

  23. Jay Cassetta says:

I had not heard of this class action until I stumbled across it on Google. I still have the cans some place and the product failed miserably. I now have a pool deck that has almost peeled completely. Am I too late for any claim?

ADMIN – Hi Jay, Sorry to hear all that. As a rule, if anyone misses the claims deadline, they can no longer file a claim for that particular settlement. The claims deadline expired 02/09/2019.

  24. Gary Nagle says:

Hi, Super bad quality since 3-2015 sanded, and followed directions, but guess what? If you see the wood walkways, deck and stairs, the pictures are awful. Sign me up!

ADMIN – Hi Gary, Sorry to hear all that. As a rule, if anyone misses the claims deadline, they can no longer file a claim for that particular settlement.  The claims deadline expired 02/09/2019. 25. Elvira Cork says:

Purchased a couple of cans to paint the front of my house.

  26. gary stephenson says:

I called Behr today to find out what they recommend to remove their Deckover paint from our back deck. Customer care rep. was very helpful with info on various alternatives, processes etc. At the end of my call he mentioned there is a class action suit & I should file a claim.
I notice from your site that the deadline for filing a claim was 2/9/2019? I’m assuming I’m out of luck? Thanks.

ADMIN – Hi, Gary. That’s right. As a rule, if anyone misses the claims deadline, they can no longer file a claim for that particular settlement.

  27. X.P. Kong says:

I purchased the DeckOver product in September 2016, but deck paint began peeling off this past winter. I did not know there was this class action settlement until recently, so I missed the deadline to submit a claim. Is there still a chance to file a claim?

ADMIN – Hi XP, Thanks for your message. However, since we are only a newspaper of class action settlements, we have no direct connection to the cases we report about. 28. Karen says:

Very unhappy with the limitations of this complaint deadline. We have been trying to correct this issue of using DeckOver product for 2 years. The cracking, peeling, chipping and dirt markings adhering to this product are awful and unsightly. We have tried chemicals, now a paint sander at 20Grit to get the product off a newly built patio x 2 years ago. We are so sorry and upset to have purchased and used this product. We have missed the deadline of class action lawsuit. VERY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED IN Behr Products and Home Depot.

ADMIN – Hi Karen, Sorry to hear all that. We’re also sorry you missed the settlement deadline. You sound like a legitimate Class Member.

  29. James Schwicke says:

What is the status of the lawsuit? I am a claimant. Have not heard anything, and their website isn’t too informative. 6/30/2019. Ty

I did not learn of the class action until June 2019, I was ill and have several illnesses that prevented me addressing this. I have all documentation needed to show the damage done etc.. Do I have any recourse to get compensation?

  31. Gale B. Dopson says:

I completed the necessary forms to be included in the class action suit, but as of July 3,2019 I have not heard a word in response. Please let me know when I can expect to hear something. Four men worked all day yesterday in 100-degree weather scraping the deck and still did not complete the job as the DeckOver peels up like rubber strips. When one strip is scraped it, only loosens another strip.

    February.

Behr doesn’t want do anything except refer me to class action. Can I still get in? I purchased 2 gal 3 years ago & was told I would never have to do the deck again. But after the 1st year I had some peeling & did talk to Home Depot & was to call Behr, but never did. Now I have more peeling. I hired someone to power-wash & rent a sander, but it didn’t take all the paint off. So now, what do I do? Money & time wasted, and still not done. Hope to hear from someone soon.

  35. Candace Farnell says:

I am a “victim” of Deckover failed deck covering. I still have my cans but not my receipts from Home Depot in Westerly, R.I. I also have photos of my peeling deck and the pile of product scraps created by this. I was told that I can still be added to the list of people receiving compensation through the class action suit, as per my conversation with Sandra at Behr on July 8, 2019. Please advise me as to how to proceed.

  37. Constance cox says:

I bought Behr Deckover September 2013, thinking that Behr is a reputable company that I would trust.
I was very satisfied, then the wood looked like it was rotting and peeling after the BEHR DECKOVER.

I completed the complaint form with various proofs of purchase. I pray that I will be able to restore my beautiful deck before fall and have the funds to do so. I’m relying on you, Behr.

  40. Donnie Worden says:

We purchased Behr Deckover to surface our decks instead of stain. Within a year, the product was bubbling, cracking and peeling. The product number is deep base no 5005. The Deckover trapped water between the product and the wood, rotting the decks. The product was sold to us, as this would adhere to the wood for better protection. We purchased 4 gallons of this stuff. Now we will have to prematurely replace around $4,000.00 worth of decking and railing because of this faulty product. I have pictures of the can, before pictures of the deck, and after pictures of disintegrating surface of both decks and railing.

ADMIN – Hi Donnie, Sorry to hear about all this. You sound like a legitimate Class Member. Hope you were able to file your claim in time.

  41. MPL says:

When are the checks being mailed out for this settlement?

ADMIN – Hi MPL, The amount of time that it takes to get your rebate varies a lot. Sometimes it is as soon as 2 months after the settlement closing date. Sometimes it takes much longer. I have made a claim in the class action suit but still have the product on my deck. How best do I take it off? Is the company contracting the labor for us?

ADMIN – Hi Wayne, Since we are only a newspaper of class action settlements, we have no direct connection to the cases we report about. It’s up to our subscribers to follow up directly with their respective claims/settlement administrators and/or check directly on the settlement website (always linked above) for updates. 43. Linda Porter says:

After using the Behr DeckOver product 1 and a half yrs. later, the deck peeled off really bad. We informed the company of the situation and the company sent us the same amount of products. We reapplied the product they sent clearly, using the same cleaning instructions, and applied the product again. After another year and a half, the same thing happened, except now our wood has rotted really bad. After that, we got in on the lawsuit against Behr DeckOver, with the receipt and pictures, and we haven’t heard anything else from them. But now we still have a rotten deck with no answers. Please help or at least let us know what is going on with the lawsuit.

ADMIN – Hi Linda, So sorry to hear all that. However, since we are only a newspaper of class action settlements, we have no direct connection to the cases we report about. I filed a claim in April 2019 including copies of my Home Depot receipts. I am aware that even though this was past the deadline date for the claims lawsuit, am I entitled to any compensation?

We (classactionrebates.com) are *not* the settlement/claims administrator of this case either — we are only an online “newspaper” of various class action settlements involving various companies. 45. Donna Lewis says:

I HAD A BEAUTFUL CEDAR DECK!!!! I used DeckOver, and within 2 years it bubbled, peeled and rotted my expensive deck. The rotten boards were in a high-traffic area and needed to be replaced as soon as possible. I had three different quotes on replacing the boards and they were all over $5000. JUST TO REPLACE THE ROTTEN BOARDS AND NOT KNOW WHAT BOARDS MIGHT GO BAD IN THE FUTURE. So, we decided to replace the deck with TREX. This cost me $15,000, but now I have no worries about the boards rotting and any maintenance.

ADMIN – Hi Donna, Sorry to hear that you had to go through all this trouble. Sounds like you were a legitimate Class Member under the Behr Settlement. Glad you got to solve the problem eventually though.

  48. Billie J Carr says:

I purchased the first time in 2018 may or June I think. I put the deck over one following all the instructions and by the end of September it was peeling off. I contacted Lowes about the problem and they told me I had to take it up with Behr. I talked to Behr and they told me all the hoops I had to jump thru to get answers from them. I had to show them all the things they wanted, receipt the color, and how much I bought. Well by the next spring they sent me the DeckOver and the wash to do before we put the resurface down they didn’t send me correct color or amount to complete the deck.I had to start by power washing it to get the old off,it wasn’t a problem because you could peel most of it by hand but I have a huge deck. Where it was ruff we could not get it off. When we finally got most of it off we had it put it back down again. Well this time it started to peel by August, just moving your chair from the table scratched the surface. We spend months trying to complete the project. They last time I had to pay someone to put the deckover down. I don’t think Behr gave me a receipt when they delivered. I hoping this get settled and I can enjoy my deck and pool.

  49. susan m latson says:

I had applied this to my back deck after following all the preparation listed before applying. Within 2 years, it looked horrible. I contacted Behr and had to send pics of my decks and containers and the receipts and they sent me replacements around 5 , 5 gallons by can, and they prep-washed it. Again, within 2 years my decks looked horrible that the deck over-trapped water under it. I’m out a lot of money and time because of this product. I have emails from Behr about these issues. Their product was defective although they tried to initially blame me!

ADMIN – Hi Susan, Sorry to hear all that. Hope you got to file a claim as a Class Member.

  50. Deborah Cowherd says:

I purchased 4 gallons and one 5 gallons of Deckover paint in Oct 2016. This stuff is awful. It peels off in big sections and also is drying my deck wood out. I will have to replace some of my deck and don’t now how much it is going to cost me to pay someone to take it off or how much the replacement wood will cost. Also, a lot of my spindles are warping now!

ADMIN – Hi Deborah, Sorry to hear all that. Hope you got to file a claim as a Class Member.

  51. tina r musgrove says:

I have emails and receipts. My wood has rotted since putting this on it! I have a front deck and back deck; both are the same age. Front deck — I didn’t do anything to it. Back deck, I covered with 2/3 coats of deckover, and the wood is rotting everywhere. I am a single mom and can’t afford to replace them, so I have holes everywhere. Literally, the wood is crumbling. I need wood replaced. I called and emailed BEHR. They sent deck cleaner and 1 more 5 gal deck over! I FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS THIS DECK IS FALLING APART!!!

ADMIN – Hi Tina, Sorry to hear all that. Hope you got to file a claim as a Class Member.

  52. Julie Hynes says:

Hi, we purchased cans back in 2015. Still have the cans in the garage, not the receipts.

  53. ROGER S WILKES JR says:

I still have about a gallon and a half left in a 5 gallon can I purchased, but I don’t have my receipt

  54. Robert T Backo says:

I purchased 9 gal., and it only lasted me 2 years before it started peeling off. It took me 3 weekends to stain. the company told me mine was the only complaint which was not true my aunt also had the same problem. They sent me 9 more gal., but what good is it if it’s only going to peel again? I pressure-washed and scrubbed it and I can’t get it all off; it looks like hell. Plus I don’t want to give up 3 more weekends. Very discouraged I’ll never deal with them again.

ADMIN – Hi Robert, Sorry to hear all that. Did you ever get to file a claim as a Class Member, notwithstanding the company’s reply to you that yours “was the only complaint which was not true”? The Settlement Administrators would/should have a copy of the real Class Members, based on purchase records obtained from the store.

  55. Donna Stockman says:

I purchased 3 gallon cans. It pealed off. We tried sanding, etc. We finally had to remove the boards and have the deck completely torn up. So I QUALIFY FOR THE REPAIR OF THE DECK ALSO?

  57. Cynthia Stanley says:

I used the Deckover and when I finished it looked really nice. However through the winter it had completely peeled everywhere. I was beyond ticked. I had my deck stripped and cleaned with Behr products and restained with regular Behr stain which I used for years. It didn’t hold up either. My deck has to be torn out and replaced. I submitted pictures and documentation. I have yet to hear or receive anything. This puts me in a financial bind. This deck is around my pool and it looks so bad that I didn’t even have any cookouts. Nor did I want the peeling paint in my pool. So very disappointed to say the least.

  58. Maria vergara says:

I don’t keep receipts because they fade away. And I don’t keep paints that are hard. I bought 25 gallons of Behr DeckOver. And I had to redo my bulkhead 2 times because the paint cracked off and peels. It damaged my 30 4×4 wood. And I haven’t had the money to redo my bulkhead. Last time I bought 30 4×4 wood. Lets see what type of customer service you have. I am very pleased with Behr paint until it started getting damaged. I paid over $3,500 for my bulkhead. And I am going to have to tear down the wood and start over again. I am very disappointed. Let me know if you can help me out to fix my bulkhead.

What happened to the Behri Deck Over settlement. It is now April 2020 and have not heard back on any cash settlement. I submitted a claim within the time period with proof and photos of the damage it had done. I used over 10 gallons in the few years I used it but Home Depot could only go back 7 months as they do not keep sales records for more than 12 months, of which I only bought in spring time. I still haven’t received any information on a cash settlement. Is this another scam?

I just learned of the recall. After cleaning my deck this year I had had several boards that the deck over just peeled off exposing rotting wood. • Angelica (Admin) says:

Sorry to hear that, Karen. According to the settlement website: “If you have submitted a claim, those claims are being audited and processed. Payment will be issued when this process is complete.” They also stated, “The Settlement Administrator discovered that a certain list of potential class members was inadvertently not sent direct notice. While the Court has already ruled that the Notice plan in this matter was sufficient without the need for any additional notice, the parties have determined that you and other potential class members should receive this notice and an additional opportunity to file a claim if you have not done so already. On October 10, 2019, the Court issued a supplemental order approving notice. Claims may only be filed by those potential Class Members who were on the list and not sent direct notice.” Please refer to this for other details: https://www.deckoversettlement.com/home.
