Case Name
Chepiga v. Conair Corporation, Case No. 3:17-cv-01090 District Court for the District of New Jersey
Case Summary
The lawsuit concerns Conair Corporation’s recall of the Cuisinart machines’ riveted blades. Some users have reported that when using the Cuisinart machines, the riveted blade could crack over time, causing portions of the blade to detach. The lawsuit claims that Conair promoted the Cuisinart machines as functional when in fact they did not function as claimed, that the machines lost value when consumers had to stop using the riveted blades, and that Conair violated express and implied warranties.

Hi, my visionary blade crack and my machine l can’t use it.
ADMIN – Hi Bridget,
What type of blade is a visionary blade?
Blade defect
Food processor did not work properly. Blade did not work well.
ADMIN – Hi John consider filing a claim if you believe you are a class member.
The blade did not work
ADMIN – Hi Patricia,
I believe the blade worked fine until it broke.
I have one including me
Hi I have the Cuisinart Food Processor
ADMIN – Hi Terry,
That makes you a class member.
Came apart while using it to make hummus. Not safe!!
I have a Cuisinart DLC-10 that I received as a wedding present. I called the Cuisinart recall line and it looks like my machine may have been manufactured prior to Conair’s acquisition of Cuisinart in 1989. So, instead of being helped immediately by an operator at the recall line or via the online registration, I need to send an e-mail to their customer service department to send photographs of the blade and machine. This is an inconvenience, but I am grateful that for the most part, the machine has worked for over 30 years!
ADMIN – Hi Lynn,
Your blade may simply be old. Appliances are not designed to last forever.
Dfp-3?
ADMIN – Hi S,
Refer to the official page to verify.
I own a cuisinart food processor and the blade broke while shredding cheese, which I used to do all the time without issue on my prior food processor.
ADMIN – Hi Katie,
File a claim
Hi. Mine broke within the 1st 2 wks of usage. I only used it for banana milkshakes.
ADMIN – Hi Blanca,
Food processors are not traditionally used to make drinks.
The blade on my cuisinart was defective. I received a replacement blade but never received the $15.00 settlement check.
Please advise.

mamma mia! My Cuisinart Food Processor I got in 2015 is dull and unusable already!
ADMIN – Hi Ari,
If you believe you are a member of the class hopefully you had the chance to file your claim in a timely manner.
Unusable blade. Cuisinart was a gift.
HI I have a DLC-2AWB can this be covered? My blade is cracked as well. I dont have proof of purchase but can supply photos.
ADMIN – Hi Misty,
Reach out to the class action administrator.
In July 2017 Cuisinart emailed and said they were out of blades and would notify me when they shipped a new one. I finally called 2 weeks ago (Jan 2018) and they said they messed up and finally sent a blade. Will I automatically get the $15 for the delay or is there a separate process?
ADMIN – Hi Rusell,
I don’t think you get anything for the delays but you can check with the class action admin
