Case Summary
The Plaintiff, Troy Oglesby, Sr., brought this class action lawsuit under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and New Jersey state law on behalf of persons who had their vehicles towed by Hargrove and were charged an amount in excess of the specific amount in Hargrove’s October 2013 towing contract with Camden. The Plaintiff’s Complaint also alleged that Camden failed to provide oversight and failed to insure compliance with the terms of the contract resulting in the deprivation of due process rights of the Plaintiff and the Class.
Both Hargrove and Camden deny the allegations in the Complaint and neither Defendant admits liability to any of the claims of the Plaintiff or any member of the Settlement Class.
