Class Eligibility

You are a member of this class if you are a current owner of of Chinese-made laminate flooring sold by Floor & Decor between Jan. 1, 2012 and Aug. 1, 2015.

In order to verify if you are a member of the class you can refer to the SKU available on your receipt

Estimated Amount


Class Members have the option to receive cash payment of $1.50 per square foot or alternatively you can also receive a store credit of $3 per square foot the calculation should be made by adding the total square footage of the place where the floor is installed

Proof of Purchase


Members who received a notification have a number to file a claim

If you don’t have a claim number may contact the admin who will guide them through the process of obtaining one

If you want to be a testing-based class member you must submit a piece of flooring

Case Summary

This settlement resolves a lawsuit against Floor & Decor in which the plaintiff claims the laminate flooring sold was not in compliance with California health and safety regulations CARB

Formaldehyde gas is hazardous to the health of consumers and limits have been set to reduce exposure

Floor & Decor denies any wrongdoing but has agreed to settle to reduce the risks associated to litigation

    I missed the deadline 🙁 but was wondering if you knew if my flooring was part of settlement. My SKU number started with an S (I checked receipt and boxes) and there were no SKUs on the list that way. So perhaps my flooring wasn’t part of it anyways?

    i missed the deadline because i miplaced my paper wrk i had filled it out long time ago, my computer has bn out of order so ididn no wht was going on. i had choose to get reimbusement for cash settlement. try to go to website at the time but couldnt get through, im elderly and disabled and dont no to much about computers, have to wait for grdson to show me how to get on computer. i remember talking to someone but she couldn give me info i wanted. so if u would kindly giv me a call at 504 220 1452 so i cn get more info ms carter

    Important Update: On April 17, 2017, Settlement benefits were distributed to Settlement Class Members who submitted valid and approved claims. Pursuant to the term of the Settlement, Settlement Class Members who elected the Store Credit Option received their awards in the form of a Floor & Decor Gift Card and Settlement Class Members who elected the Cash Option were sent a check.

We received class action notice in mail but the address is ours but the previous owners name is on it? Are we still eligible seen we pulled it up and replaced as it was unsafe for the kids?

The email address Lumber Liquidator$ has on file is which was incorrect (I remember speaking to the sales associate and asked him to correct it and he informed me that he did).     Hi, I don’t recall receiving a card. I bought this junk in 2009 and still have a box downstairs. I’ve never been able to afford to replace this stuff. I have large places where this flooring pealed. I know there was another class action, NOW. What is your advice?

    There are two distinct settlements, this one and a new one. This one does not relate to quality it addresses the presence of carcinogens in the product. Unfortunately you are too late to file.
