Case Summary
The Plaintiffs allege that Grace Healthcare chronically understaffed its nursing homes in Benton and Maumelle in violation of the Residents’ statutory and contractual rights. Specifically, Plaintiffs allege that the chronic understaffing of the Grace Healthcare Nursing Homes violated the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, the Residents’ Rights Act and breached the Resident’s admission agreement. Defendants deny Plaintiffs’ allegations of wrongdoing, fault or liability. Based on the information available to both sides, and the risks involved in a trial, both sides have concluded that the proposed settlement is fair, reasonable, and adequate, and that it serves the best interests of all parties involved.
