I bought gift cards for one of their restaurant deals. How do I file a claim

    ADMIN – Hi Sonya,

You can file a claim by clicking on the orange link directing you to the claim form. Once you are on the claim form you will follow the instructions as provided, fill in the blanks and click on the link for submit. You may have to refer to your Groupon account to obtain details about your unused Groupon.

    Wendy HAtch

    ADMIN – Hi Wendy,

We have removed the details of your transaction. We cannot help you with this. You need to contact Groupon directly.

  8. Susan says:

Bought a groupon for threading ask for a refund from groupon they said it can be used indefinetly, but they wont take it anymore.

  9. Erica Queen says:

I already filled out a claim form for the LAST class action as I bought Groupons to places that no longer existed or maybe they never even existed and lost money. I also had some that I never used and could not get reimbursed either. Do I need to fill out another claim form?

    ADMIN – Hi Erica,

If you already submitted per the terms disclosed you don’t need to submit again.

  10. Kimberly says:

I wish someone would start a class action lawsuit for this same issue post December 1, 2011. I have the exact same complaint, but I purchased my Groupon December 2012. I don’t fall within the dates of this lawsuit, but I was also the victim on the same basis of the expiration date/redemption/refund refusal.

*** someone please start another class action December 2, 2011-current!!!! **************

  11. kelley Hamerskyh says:

Purchased coupons thru Groupon May 2014 worth $150 to a fitness center. They would not honor and I could not get a refund

  12. Luisa says:

Hi, I would like to file a claim, because I had the same thing happen to me, but I live in North Carolina, and that state is not listed as eligible for some reason. Why??
    Thank you.

    ADMIN – Hi Luisa,

That question can be best tackled by class counsel.

  13. Kristi cook says:

So how do we get refunded for exact same thing but after 2011 purchases?

    ADMIN – Hi Kristi,

After 2011 Groupon implemented a policy in which all Groupons have purchase value forever. Not promotional value but what you paid for the Groupon.

    • Sherea Turner-washington says:

But the promotional value changes to a lower amount than what you paid them with no explanation – that is not right.

  14. leah talley says:

What about those bought as gifts? I bought my now husband flight lessons, he couldnt use them. it was over $150

    ADMIN – Hi Leah,

You as the purchaser can claim it if it was not used.

  15. m li says:

I have about 20 unused deals. 3 of them cannot be accessed to get the information required. Groupon will not answer by email, and the wait time by phone is 3 hr. Now what?

    ADMIN – Hi M,

Now you claim as many as you can claim and forget about the remaining three. Your time is valuable and waiting on hold for three hours represents three hours wasted. If you make minimum wage that is a little over $20 that you just gave away.

  16. m li says:

YOUR SITE IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FULFILL. We need to do another class action against the Settlement lawyers.
Disgusting, you are just trying to prevent us from getting any compensation.

    ADMIN –

We are not the class action administrators. If you have complaints about usability of the claim page your best bet is to contact class counsel directly.

  17. Vera says:

I tried filing a claim but the form will not accept the expiration date of 06/07/11. Groupon shows the deal as having never been fulfilled. I have the printed voucher. Is June 7, 2011 out of the required dates? The deal was purchased on Dec. 6, 2010.

    ADMIN – Hi Vera,

Please contact the class action administrator directly with your question.

  18. Maurice King says:

When do we find out of the agreement was reached? The settlement hearing was end of february and the site has not been updated???

    ADMIN – Hi Maurice,

The best way to get updates is by reaching out to the class action admin directly.

  19. Rita Litherland says:

I am seeking a refund in regards to a purchase that was made in July 12 of 2015. I purchased a aroma fresh ripple Aromatherapy essential oil humidifier differ. My cost was 88.11. It was ti have a one year warranty thru aromatherapy. The company is not in business and groupon on will not stand behind this nor refund. The product also is no longer available for ordering. They are legally obligated to refund this amount if the supplier cannot honour this. I will be seeing if this is not refunded

    ADMIN – Hi Rita,

We are not the proper channel to voice your concern and place your request. Your best move would be to contact Groupon directly. Class Action Rebates is purely informational in nature and cannot take action in any customer service matters.

  20. Ryan Waggoner says:

I submitted my form for the class action settlement quite awhile ago. When and how should I expect an update?

    ADMIN – Hi Ryan,

This was paid and finalized a long time ago.

    • Tanya says:

Ryan- I am in the exact same boat as you. I joined the class action over a year ago and havent heard a thing except for the update on the website saying the Claims Administrator is working on it. I tried emailing the email address on their site and it doesnt even work. My next step is reaching out to Rust Consulting directly…

      • zeynep says:

I joined the class action and did not receive anything

        ADMIN – Hi Zeynep,

        Please contact the admin.

  21. Gerry Waterman says:

Hope the boat is big enough. I, too, filed a claim and have heard nothing. The website’s last update was June 2016. What phone contacts have been tried for information?

  22. Antonio says:

Same here … Has the claims administrator finished going through all the claims and if I haven’t heard from the claims administrator by now or received a credit, I should assume Im nor getting one?

    ADMIN – Hi Antonio,

Have you contacted the admin directly?

  23. Michael R Marrin says:

Why havent i receives anything or notice regarding mu 2013 claim number for multiple expired groupons?

    ADMIN – Hi Michael,

If you were a member of the class you would have received notice via email. If your Groupons expired after the implementation of the no-expiration rule they still have cash value for the amount you paid.

    • Gerry says:

Wasn’t the settlement to be 130% of what was paid for the voucher?

      ADMIN – Hi Gerry,

Yes, for those whose purchases took place before the terms and conditions of Groupon changed and also submitted a valid claim.

      • Gerry says:

Is there any contact information (phone, fax, mailing address, email) to get further status information?

To me, I meet the criteria for participation in the settlement, including timely filing a claim, yet I have heard nothing and the link doesn’t work. Prior notices say not to contact the court.

        ADMIN – Hi Gerry,

        This is the info
        Groupon Claims Administrator
        C/O Rust Consulting
        P.O Box 2727
        Faribault, MN 55021

        • Gerry says:

Sorry, but the contact email you provided comes back as not deliverable:

“Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address.

          Maybe the P.O. Box works.

          ADMIN – Hi Gerry,

If the admin has closed the contact points the best bet is to reach out to class counsel, however at this point you probably no longer have legal recourse.

          • Gerry says:

I have just been informed by a representative at Rust Consulting that they relatively recently finalized the calculations and submitted them to Groupon for disbursement to the individual claimants. As far as he knew, the disbursements have NOT yet been made by Groupon, but should be relatively soon. Naturally, I’ll believe it when I see it.

He did not know if Groupon will be giving their customers notice of the “payment,” but indicated that the entitled amount would appear in one’s Groupon account. He suggested to keep an eye on my account for a credit/deposit. He also stated his understanding that the pro rata share will not be the 130% previously reported.

So, I’ll continue waiting to see if my “windfall” will appear.

  24. Michael R Martin says:

Last comments with corrected name below. Also claim link above does not work.

    ADMIN – Hi Michael,

The deadline for this settlement has passed.

  25. Bill says:

Thanks for providing these updates, and I really appreciate Gerry contacting Rust Consulting to get more info. I too have been waiting and checking the site regularly to try and find out when the payments will be issued, and hope they will go out soon so we can put this behind us.

    • Gerry says:

      Some positive news!!
An hour ago (March 27, 2017) I received an email from Groupon notifying me that I will be receiving credit from the class action settlement. Apparently, within 3 days I will receive account credits that have to be used within 9 months. The claims exceeded the settlement sum, so the amount is pro rated.
A contact phone number is listed, if necessary: 844-298-4322.
There is mention that if your account has been deactivated, it can be reactivated and reset.

      Good luck to all!!

  26. hurted says:

Groupon just deactivate my account on Jun 30, 2016 without any warning. And void my $36 refund money in the account. Can anyone help me get my money back? I will provide all information if you need.

    ADMIN – Hi Hurted,

We can’t. How about you contact Groupon customer service?

  27. Beatrice Fernandez says:

Is it too late to file a claim?

    ADMIN – Hi Beatrice,

Please refer to the filing deadline

  28. Rhonda says:

I’m still waiting to hear back on my claim I filed in 2013 and called the 1-844-298-4322 which is a non working number. Anyone else have any luck or suggestions on getting a refund/credit from Groupon or to check status?

    ADMIN – Hi Rhonda,

You no longer have legal recourse. This was paid many moons ago.

  29. Adrenne Ortega says:

I have had some terrible news come my way, I filed a claim only to find out Groupon CLOSED MY ACCOUNT for “Inactivity” when I had a $50 credit on my account I was waiting to use at a future date. The phone # listed does not have a dial tone as I have been trying for days to find out status on my claim. What is going on? Why would Groupon close an account that had a $50 credit applied? I find this EXTREMELY SUSPICIOUS.

    ADMIN – Hi Adrenne,

    How about you ask Groupon?

  30. Tomika Adams says:

I would advise against anyone booking a trip or making vacation reservations through Groupon. You do not have a safety net as it relates to natural disasters. This company will not help or assist you in rescheduling. I booked a trip to the Dominican Republic and the hotel will not allow me to reschedule because Groupon made the reservation on my behalf. I have attempted to speak with a representative from Groupon and the only way to contact is through email or live chat. The live chat representative could not help me at all and I am still waiting on email response from the Getaway Customer Support. I was scheduled to check into my hotel today 9/6 at the CHIC in Punta Cana but due the Hurricane I can not. I was told by the live chat agent that Groupon could not help me. However, the hotel rep stated all they needed to do was call and they had no problem with moving my reservation. Due to the reservation being made through 3rd party they could not allow me to do so. It is my birthday and I want to enjoy my trip and get what I paid for. Customers beware!!!

Groupon please stop putting people through Hell and quit with the Getaways, quit advertising just shut down. The customer service is horrible, no one can help. No accommodations offered to help the people that help keep your company up in running. A natural disaster can not be helped, Groupon you should help your customers with changes and offer excellent support. I will be reporting my issue to the BBB. This isn’t fair to customers?

    ADMIN – Hi Tomika,

Happy Birthday. We are so glad you are safe. We are not Groupon or associated to Groupon so we are unable to help you. We are glad you had an opportunity to vent.

  31. Travis Lowe says:

This is Total BS. I purchased a GroupOn back in 2011… filled out all the necessary claim forms and met the criteria. the purchase was $60 and all i got credited was $38 and change. I have been waiting for over 5yrs for a full reimbursement and this is the best that can be done. The email and Phone number no longer work and GroupOn keeps dropping my Customer Service call. I will never do business with GroupOn.

  32. victimofgroupon says:

is there a new class lawsuit against Groupon?
I could not find any groupon customer service number and the online chat service folk terminated the chat rudely and i am now looking to join a class lawsuit against its business practice so that less people would become the victim of their business practice.
Very appreciate for anyone sharing info on this matter.

    ADMIN – Hi Victim,

Class action settlements for poor customer service are pretty uncommon.

  33. Kar says:

I paid 22 for an i phone 6 screen replacement.normally 56. I callec to make appt and redeem the place told me it was good for battery replacement only WHAT?.. And told me to Call groupon for fefund. They never callec withi the 30 mins the recording said they would. I want my money back. FALSE ADVERTISING BAIT AND SWITCH!

    ADMIN – Hi Kar,

Sadly this settlement is no longer open.

  34. Steve says:

Groupon has removed the credits prematurely from expiration date (12/25/2017) Anyone seeing this?

    ADMIN – Hi Steve,

I used up my credits so I have no means to corroborate. Maybe another community member can check for you. Consider asking on our Facebook page.

    • FeelingCheated says:

They did removed the settlement credit. I had more than $100 and now they said there’s no chance of recovering that credit. It’s gone. If somehow you can get it back, let me know. Thanks

      ADMIN – Hi Cheated,

      Reach out to Groupon.

  35. FeelingCheated says:

Groupon credit has been removed without any notification on 12/25/17. I just noticed it. I never saw the expiration of the credit on my Groupon and was taken aback when I don’t see my credit when I just purchased something recently.

    ADMIN – Hi There,

Reach out to Groupon to see if this is something they are willing to fix for you.

  36. Ilene says:

Just like feelingcheated & Steve – I had $25.18 in the account and they took them back out (I never knew about the money till last night when I looked in my account – hadn’t bought groupons for several years till last night).. They said there’s nothing they can do (really, it’s nothing they want to do). Groupon has NO incentive to make good on that money they took away. No incentive to make sure we knew they were putting money in the accounts. No reminders that money was expiring.

There should be a 2nd class action for this. We will be cancelling that groupon we bought last night and won’t use groupon anymore.

    ADMIN – Hi Ilene,

I encourage you to sign up for our newsletter that way you will never miss future settlements.

  37. ilene says:

follow up to my last post. I wrote to CEO and CFO how I and others here missed out and at least I won’t be using groupon anymore. They forwarded it to customer disservice and I got this email:

Sorry for any trouble. In March of 2017 we sent an email out to all Groupon customers who received Groupon Bucks from the class action lawsuit settlement. In this email, we advised customers that they had received a credit and the time frame they had to use the credit. The terms and form of the settlement are the result of a court ruling.
Unfortunately, we cannot re-issue Groupon Bucks that were issued as part of the settlement if they expired before you could use them.

  38. ripped off says:

I just noticed that our $500 balance from the settlement is gone. I hated Groupon as it was but now hate them ever more. Crooks. Deleting them off everything & telling everyone I know to do the same.

    ADMIN – Hi There!

Why did you wait so long to use it?

  39. Lisa says:

I am a merchant for many years with Groupon. In talking with many other merchants and reading some very disturbing accounts, I wonder how we can request A conversation or even send a message to the attorneys that were involved in order to seek the possibility for another class action lawsuit against Groupon. I can’t seem to find who the attorneys were as they are familiar already with the schemes of Groupon and might be able to assist us in another class action lawsuit on the merchant side.

    ADMIN – Hi Lisa,

Try contacting and see if they will listen to your story.

  40. Laurel says:

Am just now realizing our credits expired and am very disappointed with Groupon. Needless to say, I will not be supporting this company any longer.

  41. Rosemary Vetor says:

OMG! I placed an order from Groupon on April 6th. The order was for a class ring and I was charged to my credit card but when placing the order I could not give any information as what I wanted on the ring. Then a site connected to Groupon called Limoges had the same thing and with there discount and the Groupon coupon I only paid $4.99 shipping. I tried emailing rhem to cancel the order for the $59 one and to credit my card but as of yet it has not been done. I’m still waiting on the ring to arrive but said it takes 6 to 8 weeks to receive it. What can I do to get the $59 back?

    ADMIN – Hi Rosemary,

Have you tried contacting customer service?

  42. Julie Runnels says:

So back in May I made several orders to Groupon for some graduation gifts. Two days after ordering I realized that they had some funny address for me and we’re shipping the items there. I immediately called Groupon who assured me they would fix the situation. After countless hours on the phone, hundreds of emails, many many online chats… they are not willing to rectify the problem! They don’t care! It is a matter of over $800- and I cannot be the only one who has had this issue! If you have had a similar problem please tell me? I am planning on hiring an attorney to keep this from happening to other people! If you have any recommendations for a good attorney please let me know?

    ADMIN – Hi Julie,

Just search for a local class action attorney and share your story. They will decide if it has merit.

    • manuel correa says:

Hi Julie My nam is Manuel Correa and I purposed a Bluetooth stereo from Groupon and I received it in the mail yesterday it played one time and I plugged it up again and it starts smoking and sparkling I don’t know what to do I cannot find any phone number to get in touch with these people for a refund I would like to get my money back, I want to b apart of whatever u have going on

      ADMIN – Hi Manuel,

      Have you tried customer service???

  43. Heather Gibson says:

All of my expired groupons as well as groupons purchased up to July 2018 have disappeared from my account. I have spent many, many hours trying to get them back or be compensated for them. None of the “live chats” have been successful and usually the individual states that they do not handle Canadian grievances (this after wasting much of my time). I do not know what to do to get satisfaction. I have numbers for some of the groupons which are gone from the account yet not even expired. I cannot find anyone who can do something t help me. This is corrupt and I feel like I have been robbed. I have two email account and have disclosed both to no avail. Ironically, I can keep on purchasing new groupons though.

  44. Heather Gibson says:

Are there any class action law firms in Canada, specifically Edmonton, Alberta?

    ADMIN – Hi Heather,

I am sure there are. Try using Google.

  45. Debra L Butler says:

I am reading all of these posts because they are now doing it to me. I am thinking of retaining an attorney and filing another class action suit. It is obvious that Groupon did not learn a lesson from the first suit

    ADMIN – Hi Debra,

Let us know the results of your lawsuit.

    • Monica Herbert says:

If you do a lawsuit let me know. I have been scammed multiple times. Last were some tickets that I bought them price was raised with not reason.

      • Angelica (Admin) says:

Hi, Monica. Thanks for your message, and sorry to hear that. However, we ( are *not* the settlement/claims administrator of this case — we are only an online “newspaper” of various class action settlements involving various companies. Having said that, we don’t “do” lawsuits ourselves; we only report open settlements as they come to our attention. Please contact the Settlement Administrator directly, if you haven’t already done so. The details are stated above. Thank you, and best of luck.

  46. Lesley says:

We need to bring this lawsuit back because they are still scamming thousands of people.

  47. Zorka Gedeon says:

I am having issues with Groupon at the moment. They are refusing to reimburse for cancellations due to Covid with anything but Groupon Bucks. If anyone is filing another class action, I would like to be included — as do probably thousands of others that I read about in Consumer Affairs.

  48. Renee Vearrier says:

I have but many many Groupon‘s. And since Covid I have canceled most of them because they’re all like self-care. And I received maybe 1/5 of the payments I made to them back. I just was looking at some facial thing and they already charge me like $50 for it so I’m trying to cancel and they only give me $25 back no I am totally in on this lawsuit

    • Angelica (Admin) says:

Sorry to hear that, Renee. Unfortunately, the Claims deadline already expired in 2016. Kindly review the details above.
