Case Summary

Plaintiffs allege that certain batches of Hill’s Prescription Diet and Science Diet canned dog food products were produced with high levels of Vitamin D. The lawsuits further claimed loss of money by dog owners who purchased these recalled products containing excess levels of Vitamin D or that were otherwise not manufactured as represented. Aside from the purchase of misrepresented dog food products, the dog owners had to pay for veterinarian services due to injuries to their dogs related to the ingestion of excessive Vitamin D in said dog food.
