Class Eligibility

The HireRight class action settlement addresses three different members of the class :

  • Two Year Claims – “All individuals in the Settlement Class for whom HireRight’s records indicate that the request was made on or after May 23, 2011 and for whom HireRight’s records do not indicate the scope of the request”
  • Two Year Available Request Claims – “All individuals in the Settlement Class for whom HireRight’s records indicate that the request was made on or after May 23, 2011 and that the request was for ‘all reports,’ ‘full file,’ or ‘the last 3 years’”
  • Five Year Claims – “All individuals in the Settlement Class for whom HireRight’s records indicate that the request was made between May 23, 2008 and May 23, 2011”

    But the thing is, how do you know that anyone went and did a background check on you?
    These companies that you filled out an application for, they don’t tell you if they did a background check on you.

    Yes they do. You sign a document that releases their right to run a background check. If you think you may have been affected contact the admin and have him check the list.

    Submitted a claim form for this class action lawsuit many months ago, and so far heard nothing since then. Has this case been settled and proceeds distributed?

    Yes, these people did me wrong , I missed typed a month on wrong (Stephanie) suggested to the employer Not to hire me…after I submitted all documentation she requested. She went out of her way to call the sheriff’s office on me.

    I just received 2 checks, two weeks ago, and the checks are no good because they are past the date to be cashed or deposited. Who do I need to contact to get it straightened out?

    His Rights is bringing up old information that was way over 7 yrs ago.
    I have disputed this and now trying to figure out how to put a stop to it.

    It has not made a difference. They are still false reporting. It happened to me just today. They have not changed the way they report.

    They informed the company I was trying to work for that I was arrested for drugs and did time in jail. I have never been arrest let alone for drugs! The company called me back and did not give me the job. I have read that they do this a lot. They caused me a job. Can I take them to court?
