    • maria martins says:

i got a postcard in the mail with a class member number for one of my accounts but not for the other. Can I call somewhere or email for the other identification numbers?

      ADMIN – Hi Maria,

      Contact Honest customer service.

    • EB says:

If it was included in a monthly bundle how should we specify the price?

      ADMIN – Hi EB,

  2. ROSEANN DITTO says:

  3. gayle michaud says:

ive purchased many of these items.

  4. Lauren A Kollmar says:

I have almost 200 items to claim. Do I have to claim each individual item on a separate form or can each claim include multiple items?

    Thank you kindly,

    ADMIN – Hi Lauren,

    All in the same form.

  5. Amanda says:

I received the email and have a claim in process for the bundles I purchased online but I also purchased may items in store, are these eligible as well? I no longer have receipts. If so, how do I go about claiming for those items as well?

    ADMIN – Hi Amanda,

    You can claim for both.

  6. Michael says:

Hello, my wife and I had recurring purchases each month for more than 2 years. Will those bank statement withdraws count as receipts or will our accout with Honest company online suffice ?

    Thank you,

    ADMIN – Hi Michael,

    Your online account suffices.

  7. Taylor Mims says:

purchased many items because my daughter has very sensitive skin only to realize that my daughter was having an outbreak due to these products i was very disappointed.

    ADMIN – Hi Taylor,

Absolutely heartbreaking! If you feel you are a member of the class please consider filing a claim.

  8. Latasha Perkins says:

Please send me info I purchased there products

    ADMIN – Hi Latasha,

All the info you need is posted. There is nothing to send.

  9. jessica kimla says:

    ive purchased alot of these

    ADMIN – Hi Jessica,

So did I. Have you filed your claim?

  10. Dave says:

Can you file more than one claim per house hold and the same address?

    ADMIN – Hi Dave,

I took time to read the long notice on your behalf. It does not appear to have per household limits.

  11. Marilyn Henderson says:

I used and purchased a lot of the items on the list.

    ADMIN – Hi Marylyn,

    Consider filing a claim.

  12. DarleneTaylor says:

    purchase several of these product.

  13. Carolyn says:

Do diaper bundles count in the claim? Or did we have to purchase the diapers and wipes separately?

    ADMIN – Hi Carolyn,

    I would list them separately

  14. Annette Collins says:

I am glad to know this, I purchased items for my household on several occasions.

  15. Tom says:

The Honest Company accused of deceptive advertising? How utterly delightful!

    ADMIN – Hi Tom

    Indeed 🙂

  16. Melissa Dickey says:

I have been receiving bundles of 6 packs of diapers, 4 packs of wipes, and other added items, every couple of months for the past two years, what is the best way to claim all of those items?

    ADMIN – Hi Melissa,

I would list them as individual items.

  17. Brianna Smail says:

I have filed a claim today and am getting a check for almost $200. How long will it take to get the check?

    ADMIN – Hi Brianna,

First we wait for the deadline, after the deadline we wait for possible appeals. Once appeals come to completion we wait for the admin to verify claims and issue checks. Most likely a year or two before you get monies.

  18. January Shook says:

Do you file each item in a bundle (such as diapers and wipes or essentials items) separately?

    ADMIN – Hi January,

    Every item separately.

  19. Molly says:

When I filed the claim, is the verified amount how much I spent, or what I could possibly win?

    ADMIN – Hi Molly,

Verified amount is the amount spent.

  20. Anny Velez says:

Hi there.Me and my husband had recurring purchases each month for more than 2 years at Honest company website. We have 3 different bundles per month with them ( Honest company) plus adds products during that time. Can we use those bank statement withdraws as receipts. We cancel our accout with Honest company online (the only proof We have is the credit cards monthly payments). We use to purchase these products in other places too like Target, Costco, Baby r us and Amazon. Can we claim all that together or separated?

    ADMIN – Hi Annie,

You should be able to access your Honest account even if you are no longer purchasing from them. I believe you claim everything on a single form.

  21. M.A. Dustman says:

I submitted a claim form by usps 2weeks ago for $3200 worth of diapers that were purchased directly from Honest website. First I would like to verify that this was received and is there a cap on the refund?

    ADMIN – Hi M.A,

You need to reach out to the class action administrator. Their info is available by scrolling up.

  22. Melissa says:

I have an account with them and received a claim code. When I put it in, it provided a verified amount. It sounds like this is the amount I spent on these items using my account (not what would be paid in settlement?). How do I tell what the actual payout would be (since it doesn’t show the total number of items I purchased that apply)?

    ADMIN – Hi Melissa,

Go to your account and count the number of qualified products you purchased. Then multiply that by $2.50

  23. Valerie O'Connell says:

Since they recalled Essential Bundles, does every item in that bundle (5 items) qualify or is it just the items on the product list.

Does the hand sanitizer 2 pack count as 1 item or 2?

I have over a hundred items and as I was filling out the form it really started to upset me that I used these products, gave them as gifts and recommended them for two years. And now the Honest company won’t admit to falsely saying all their products were HONESTLY free of any toxins. I used to spray that cleaner on my child’s high chair while she was in it! Shame on me. But really shame on them. I want all my money back not just $2.50 per item. Lol. Sorry for that rant, please answer my two questions.

    ADMIN – HI Valerie,

If the bundles are listed as a bullet they count as one item. If the sanitizer pack is listed as a two pack on the bullets above it counts as one item.

    • Laura says:

I asked the same questions an I received an email saying if you agree to the price you do not have to show proof. Which I have an I would like credit for my over 3000$ worth of purchases in the last 3 years.

      ADMIN – Hi Laura,

From reading the settlement terms what I gather is that you get $2.50 per product. Feel free to send us a copy of the email response you received and we will try out best to help you interpret it.

  24. Debbie says:

I received an email with a class member id number and confirmation code. when i started the form, it gave me a verified amount and already had all of my information filled in. I did not see anywhere to attach receipts. Since all of my information is available on my online Honest account (i am still a customer), do I need to send receipts somewhere? I have VOLUMES of receipts, as I’ve been a member since Feb 2012.

    ADMIN – Hi Debbie,

No, those with verified amounts need to file a claim but I don’t think you need to submit receipts.

    • Nancy Garza says:

I received a way lesser amount than my claim . Why is that ? This is not fair. Can u please contact me . My email is there provided and my phone number . 956-223-6501 Nancy Garza . My certified amount was $153.94 and I only got $18.69 . This is so unfair .

      ADMIN – Hi Nancy,

We can’t contact you as we are not the class action administrator. You received less because the settlement had more participation than expected. You can read the details on our Facebook page.

      • Melissa Smith says:

Don’t feel bad Nancy. I had over 4 years of online orders that ranged from diaper bundles to their cleaning products. I literally had every item on the list and I received 2 checks in the amount of $2.56. What people don’t understand class action suit are put together by pathetic lawyers who get as many people they can to sign up with promises of huge payouts and no one gets shit except the attorneys. By the time they get their fees they distribute the crumbs to us lowly dumbasses!

        ADMIN – Hi Melissa,

You always have the option to opt out and go after companies on your own.

  25. Linsay Korman says:

I received an email and have somehow lost it. I have looked everywhere. Can I get another emailed to me so that I have the correct class member ID #?

    ADMIN – Hi Linsay,

    Contact the class action administrator.

  26. Laura says:

When are the refund checks being sent?

    ADMIN – Hi Laura,

Customarily settlements are not paid until the deadline has passed and the case has been finalized with all appeals exhausted.

  27. Rich says:

I have had nothing but problems with getting concise answers to the questions I have emailed off to the Claims Administrator – hopefully I have better luck here. My first question to the Administrator went as follows:

“I have not previously received an email or postcard, how do I obtain a Class Member Identification Number? (I previously submitted my information on the claim site, the account is under my wife’s name and email.)”

The Admin. replied, “The people who were sent an email were chosen by Honest. We are not affiliated with them so we cannot assign a code. Some people received an email with a code and some did not. Please check your spam/junk folder for an email. If you have another email associated with Honest let us know so we can look further.”

    My first question here is:
    1) Does an ID not have to be assigned to file a claim?

My next question to the Admin. was the same as Carolyn’s and Melissa’s, “The majority of our purchases from THC were for monthly deliveries of the Diaper and Wipes Bundle, 6 packages of diapers and 4 packages of wipes, I did not see this bundle under the product list – how do I submit a claim for each of these bundles?”

The Admin. replied, “if you would like to claim your bundle purchase, please indicate each product contained in the bundle as its own product. For example, if you would like to claim a diaper/wipe bundle, you will claim one diaper and one wipe. If you purchased a bundle of 6 wipes, you may list each wipe package as its own product.”

    2) I then followed this up the above exchange with the following question to the Admin. which has gone unanswered after repeated attempts: “How do I associate an amount paid for each of the items in the bundle? For example if I purchased a bundle with 6 diapers and 4 wipes, paying a total $79.95 pretax and $87.15 taxed, what value do I assign to each diaper and each wipe?”

    Thank you for your help,

    ADMIN – Hi Rich,

    My answer to question #1

If you have proof of purchase your claim submission will be as valid as the one submitted by someone who received a class member ID. Of course, if you really insist in having a customer ID # consider giving the admin your wife’s email associated to the account. (keep in mind that as the purchaser she is the class member).

My answer to question # 2

When assigning a value to the bundle you can opt to give each item equal value or you can get fancy and give each item proportional value as long as they add up to the total value of the bundle (tax included). Regardless of the value you list you will receive $2.50 per product listed.

    Hope this helps.

    • Rich says:

I submitted a claim for just over $2000 in purchases from THC. We received a check of right around $300. What gives?

      ADMIN – Hi Rich,

I believe the settlement was distributed proportionately among all qualified class members. The participation must have been higher than expected.

      • Daniela says:

There’s no way it was distributed proportionately. I had 3 bundles for 5 years, and had thousands of dollars listed on my claim form. I got a check for just over two dollars. I’ve spoken with many other individuals who claimed a couple HUNDRED dollars and received settlement amounts upwards of at least a hundred dollars. Check amounts seem to be completely random if you ask me. Unless, my check total was recorded incorrectly.

        ADMIN – Hi Daniela,

I have heard similar complaints from several class members.

  28. Lindsey says:

My verified amount was over 3000. It didn’t show how many items were purchased though. How do I know how much I will receive back?

    ADMIN – Hi Lindsey,

You will receive $2.50 per item listed.

  29. Stacie mack says:

I have ordered hundreds of products in bundles for the past couple years. I received a claim code for just the detergent, dish soap and multi purpose cleaner. Will I be receiving more codes for additional 10 or 15 products I purchased ?

    ADMIN – Hi Stacie,

The bundles count as one product per the notice.

  30. Sasha says:

I have not received an email yet I’ve been ordering online and have an account with Should I have received an email? Also, if I fill out the claim form myself do I need to upload screen shots of my order history on my account or can I just leave it blank and click submit? Thanks.

    ADMIN – Hi Sasha,

Check your promotions and spam box. Otherwise contact the class action admin.

  31. Melany says:

I filed a claim for this case on 8/24/17. But yesterday I received another email for a class action lawsuit with a different case number against honest. This one is just for laundry detergent, dish soap, and multipurpose cleaner. Am I able to file a claim for both cases?

    ADMIN – Hi Melany,

I believe they are two different settlements. You can send me a screenshot of the email via Facebook PM and I will verify it for you. You can find us here

  32. Jennifer says:

When should we expect to receive our refund? Is there an estimated timeline for it?

    ADMIN – Hi Jennifer,

In all class action settlements class members do not receive payment until the deadline has passed.

    • Melissa Erkel says:

I filled out a form and had proof of purchase, should have received ~$80. I still haven’t heard anything. When will I be notified?

      ADMIN – Hi Melissa,

Please note that this case is under appeals.

  33. Courtney Castelein says:

I bought the regular Honest Dish Soap on 4/1/2017.

    ADMIN – Hi Courtney,

If the soap is listed you are class member. Consider filing a claim.

  34. Ivy says:

Since October 18, 2015- July 17, 2017 I have order the bundle of Diapers and wipes. I have also purchased Detergent, dish soap, Conditioning Detangler, Kids’ Toothpaste, Shampoo + Body Wash, and SPF 30 Sunscreen

    ADMIN – Hi Ivy,

If you did this online you surely have records.

  35. Stephanie Ligon says:

I haven’t received the email with the settlement details and my claim # information. I have had wipes and diaper bundles since early 2016 often including add one such as bubble bath and shampoo. Is there a way to have it emailed to save from printing and scanning my records from Thank you.

    ADMIN – Hi Stephanie,

Consider contacting customer service at Honest to see if they can generate that email for you.

  36. Makenna Samek says:

After filing a claim, when can I expect to see a check?

    ADMIN – Hi Makenna,

Checks are issued after the deadline but not before all the appeals have been exhausted and the admin has has a chance to validate all the claims.

  37. Tori Coke says:

Hi, I do not have recites but we did buy bundles and paid with my debit card. Will my bank statements work?

    ADMIN – Hi Tori,

If you purchased the bundles online you should be able to access your account and do screenshots of your transactions.

  38. Michelle says:

I purchase bubble bath, shampoo and body wash for my daughter from this company often.

    ADMIN – Hi Michelle,

That makes you a class member. How about you file a claim?

  39. Tesla Pershon says:

Hi, we’ve received about 5 diaper/wipe bundles via honest company app subscription. I don’t see the option for bundles what are we supposed to do?

    ADMIN – Hi Tesla,

You list the items individually and you approximate the price.

  40. Erin Cohen says:

It’s a good thing that I give my junk folder a quick scroll before emptying it; I’d have known nothing of this!

I received an email with an ID and link, but it was only for three specific items. Is this a different class than the one I received an email for?

    ADMIN – Hi Erin,

There are two distinct settlements against The Honest Company please visit our homepage and scroll down to locate them.

  41. Bre says:

I live in Canada but purchased items from the Honest website over the last few years. Do I qualify?

    ADMIN – Hi Bre,

The class is described as follows:

All persons residing in the United States who purchased, and did not subsequently return, the Products between January 17, 2012 and July 10, 2017.

  42. Calista Thompson says:

I tried to finalize a claim on the website but it kicked me out. I sent an email to the contact info, will I likely hear back from someone?

    ADMIN – Hi Calista,

    We hope you do.

  43. katherine ludwick says:

i received a postcard with my class member id. Where do I find the cofirmation code on the postcard ???

    ADMIN – Hi Katherine,

There are two settlements. This one and the one for MLS, I believe the postcard you received was for the MLS settlement.

  44. Julia Ulott says:

I was given gift cards for the honest company which I uploaded to my account and purchased most of my items through that. Does that count as me buying them?
And will I be able to claim them?

    ADMIN – Hi Julia,

Yes that would count as buying.

  45. christie says:

I have been purchasing diaper bundles and essential bundles for two years. all of my receipts are online in my honest account. do I need to get copies of all of these or can I just give my account information?

    ADMIN – Hi Christie,

My understanding is that you have to provide screenshots unless they sent you the special email that lists all the products you have purchased.

  46. JC says:

Diaper cream is not included in the list?

    ADMIN – Hi JC,

It does not appear to be.

  47. Chanel Williams says:

if I had been purchasing these items with cash from retail stores. Mainly target, for over the past 2 years.. How do I prove? I don’t have half the receipts.

    ADMIN – Hi Chanel,

If you don’t have proof of purchase you receive far less money.

  48. virginia martin says:

how do i get a claim form ive purchased most but only have reciets for few

    ADMIN – Hi Virginia,

You file without a receipt. You will get far less money than those that have a proof of purchase.

  49. Shannon says:

What about those who purchased in Canada

    ADMIN – Hi Shannon,

    You do not qualify.

  50. Alyssa Janes says:

For individuals who paid with cash at retail locations, is original receipt the only form of proof of purchase? I saved 90% of the boxes with store label on them. Will pictures of these boxes suffice as proof of purchase?

    ADMIN – Hi Alyssa,

I don’t think so but you can contact the admin and see if they will make an exception.

    • Alyssa Janes says:

How would I contact an admin?

      ADMIN – Hi Alyssa,

Scroll up and look for the subheading titled “contact” on the page for this settlement.

  51. Russell says:

When can we expect to receive a check? I have a very high verified amount and selected to be sent a check. Anyone know an estimated time frame please?

    ADMIN – Hi Russell,

Consider this money a sweet surprise. If there are appeals it will take forever to get paid.

    • Russell says:

To add to that, I see other comments inquiring and just that the known is that it will be after the deadline which is October 23rd. Is it possible we will get the checks this year or more likely next? I am very tight on budget

      ADMIN – Hi Rusell,

Don’t count on settlement money for any of your basics. It is often unpredictable in timing and amount.

  52. Victoria Davis says:

I filled out the form last month but haven’t heard anything about anything. Is there someway to make sure it was even recieved?

    ADMIN – Hi Victoria,

You can write a certified letter to the class action administrator asking for an update.

  53. Lisa says:

I did not receive a code but had 2 years of bundles and orders. I have now been on hold 25 minutes with Honest company and was told they cannot give me the information

    ADMIN – Hi Lisa,

You don’t need a code to file. You can pull your records from your accounts and submit screenshots.

  54. Ash Tomlinson says:

That’s terrible I’ve bought $1,000’s worth of this product. Far from keeping any of the receipts though 🙁
And they blatantly package and market their products falsely and misleading.

    ADMIN – Hi Ash,

I know. It is so frustrating.

  55. Clara Anderson says:

I bought many of those produces

    ADMIN – Hi Clara,

That makes you a class member

  56. Veronica Avila says:

If I had an account online with the Honest Co. and I added my email associated with that account, and I also purchased items from other retailers, do I have to add all the items purchased from the honest website and from other retailers? When I add all on the form, it’s asking for receipts and the only proof I have from the website is my online account. How should I complete this? I did add my email in Section III, is that all I need to do to claim purchases from their website with my account? Sorry, comfusing for me

    ADMIN – Hi Veronica,
You need to reach out to the admin. I think the form is set up to either accept with or without receipt but not mixed.

  57. NAS says:

    Honest company?

    ADMIN – Hi NAS,

    Very honest…

  58. Lovie Lamette (Carroll) says:

I sent all information regarding the 2 accounts I had a few months ago & I have not received anything.

    ADMIN – Hi Lovie,

You are unlikely to receive anything until they are ready to pay the settlement.

  59. karen langley says:

I purchased some of the diapers last year for a baby shower gift.

    ADMIN – Hi Karen,

Very nice gift, however the deadline has passed and you no longer have legal recourse.

  60. Jessica may says:

I only learned about this last night – never received anything in the mail or by email and have purchased many of these items since 2014. Can I still submit a claim?

    ADMIN – Hi Jessica,

Sadly you cannot. Deadline has passed and you no longer have legal recourse. I encourage you to sign up for our newsletter that way you don’t miss future settlements.

  61. Lindsay says:

I know the deadline is passed. Is there anything I can do to still file?

    ADMIN – Hi Lindsey,

Nothing at all. This settlement was available for a very long time. Going forward I encourage you to follow us on Facebook and sign up for our newsletter that way you will not miss future settlements.

  62. Karen Celiga says:

a bundle counts as one items, even if there were 8 items in it?

    ADMIN – Hi Karen,

A bundle is eight items but the deadline has passed.

  63. Eran Metzer says:

I was out of town and missed the deadline. Can I get an exception

    ADMIN – Hi Eran,

No. This settlement was open for a long time and was accessible globally via the web.

  64. Sharon says:

Do not understand how I never received any notice of this action. I have had a monthly subscription since the company started. Why wouldn’t you contact all the know clients? Scam?

    ADMIN – Hi Sharon,

That question is best directed to the class action administrator. I do encourage you to follow us on Facebook and sign up for our newsletter to ensure you never again miss a class action settlement.

  65. Kim Creek says:

I sent in my claim form about a month ago and haven’t received any further info regarding my claim.

    ADMIN – Hi Kim,

You will not receive an update until the case is finalized.

  66. Linda says:

I have used more than 10 of this products. I have used 30 of these products.

    ADMIN – Hi Linda,

Me too. Hopefully you filed before the deadline.

  67. Tonia says:

Submitted my code and everything back in September and have had diaper bundles and essential bundles nearly monthly for years. Will each bundle count as 10 items-6 diaper packs and 4 wipe packs? Just curious, I would hope so.

    ADMIN – Hi Tonia,

Many people entered their bundles as individual items to ensure they got paid for each item. Not sure what is going to happen to those of you that entered the bundle as a single line item, I hope you get monies for every single bundle item.

  68. john says:

Is it too late to file today?

    ADMIN – Hi John,

The deadline was October 23. We are now in November so yes it is too late to file.

  69. Alexander Gonzalez says:

It says I am not able to film a claim anymore, am I not entitled to any compensation just because it is past the deadline? I just became aware of this lawsuit today!

    ADMIN – Hi Alexander,

That is correct. You no longer have legal recourse. This settlement was open for months. I really encourage you to sign up for our newsletter or follow us on Facebook so this won’t happen to you ever again with future settlements.

  70. Brooke Hill says:

I have purchased several products and submitted my info over a month ago and still have not received a check. When is the check estimated to be mailed?

    ADMIN – Hi Brooke,

On class action settlements you don’t receive your monies immediately after filing. You have to wait for the case to be finalized and go through all relevant appeals.

  71. Reighan says:

Is there a way to check the status of my claim? Or get any updates whatsoever? That’d be extremely helpful because as of now I have no idea what is happening to my claim or how I will be notified about my refund.

    ADMIN – Hi Reighan,

You could write a certified letter to the administrator but the reality is that if you submitted a valid claim it will most likely be paid in due time without you having to check on any status.

  72. Brooke says:

When will the check be sent out if we’ve made a claim?

    ADMIN – Hi Brooke,

The fairness hearing is not until December. Once that takes place we will have more details.

  73. Nicholas says:

    Hi, I know
I filled a claim I had a claim number and I hit the link but I no longer have access to that email how Can I change my address I have since moved from filling my claim

    ADMIN – Hi Nicholas,

You can submit a change of address in writing via certified mail.

  74. Amanda Thompson says:

When is the fairness hearing and how will we know if there have been appeals? Since the Honest Co settled, are appeals likely? Thank you

    ADMIN – Hi Amanda,

Click on the link that takes you to the official page as posted above. Three quarters into the page you will see a section that reads: “important dates”. You can see when the hearing will take place. That is also the same area where you are likely to see appeals if any are filed.

  75. Deborah Woods says:

I was never sent a number or form to claim reimbursement. Why is that I stumbled upon this page and was never given the opportunity to get my money back! I’ve purchaed well over half of these items listed in bundles for years! I’m angry and very disappointed. I sent receipts in for laundry detergent, dish soap and floor cleaner for my refund the deadline for that was 11/2017 but I had no idea about the other products. Deodorant, 3 in 1 Laundry Detergent, Bubble Bath, Stain Remover, Fruit Wash, Lotion, Hand Soap none of it was on my last claim. How will The Honest Company make this right? I trusted them with my families Health again no from The Honest Company sent me anything! I found this by my own research! Please shed some light on this issue to help me understand just what the heck is going on here.

    ADMIN – Hi Deborah,

This was published on TV, radio and newspapers. At this point you no longer have legal recourse.

  76. Chelsea says:

When will claim money be sent out? The final hearing has passed, any news yet?

    ADMIN – Hi,

First all appeals must be submitted and clear.

  77. Victoria Smith says:

Since there were no appeals from the website when is it likely we will get our refund?

    ADMIN – Hi Victoria,

The window for appeals just opened on Friday. For now we wait patiently .

  78. Lisa Wilkerson says:

I was wondering if the verdict if the fairness hearing was known yet, I know they were in court yesterday.

    ADMIN – Hi Lisa,

The hearing was on the 8th. It will be a little while before we have additional information.

  79. Bettina says:

Can you tell us the outcome of the final hearing?
I have not received anything about my claim sent before the deadline.
Will I be receiving a claim number?

    ADMIN – Hi Bettina,

The final hearing took place on December 8. It will be a while before I have updates.

  80. Rosa Nuñez says:

Hello, i filed my Claim before the deadline. How do i know the Outvome of the Suit and when they will release the funds due to me..

    ADMIN – Hi Rosa,

The final hearing was on December 8. You must now wait for appeals to be submitted if applicable and for each to be resolved. Once that takes place the class action admin will begin evaluating each submission and will eventually send out checks.

  81. Kristin says:

So on my form it said my total was about $480 (it pre-totaled for me based on bundle orders in their system), does that mean I’ll actually only receive about $15 (6x$2.50)

    ADMIN – Hi Kristen,

If your bundle was one of the bundles listed it would count as one product. If it was not a bundle listed it would count as individual products. You are not giving me enough information to answer your question.

    • Lisa Wilkerson says:

So when you get the pre-generated amount that’s incorrect is what you are saying?
I was generated an amount over $3,000. I have been ordering from honest since 2013.
From what your saying each monthly bundle would only allot to $2.50? Or each item in the bundle would be $2.50?
If I ordered laundry soap, dish soap and 3 other items would that be a refund of $12.50, breaking down to 2.50 an item or is that bundle of 5 items only a value of $2.50 all together?
If this is the case why were we given a generated number if it’s going to be incorrect?

      ADMIN – Hi Lisa,

Those that received incorrect amounts submitted corrections and provided screen prints of their purchases. As for the inaccurate statements all I can tell you is that those were generated by The Honest Company and not by the class action administrator. There is only one or two bundles listed and I believe those are the only ones that count as single items. All other bundles are considered splittable into individual items.

      • Lisa Wilkerson says:

        Which bundles were deemed splitable?

        ADMIN – Hi Lisa,

Go read the list at the top. If your bundle is not listed it is splittable.

        • Lisa Wilkerson says:

How do we know if we were given inaccurate statements?

          ADMIN – Hi Lisa,

You compare your statement to your overall purchases by login into your account.

  82. KJ says:

I mainly bought via the bundles since 2011. My amount generated buy the claim site was well over $2000. Is that the dollar amount I purchased or the estimated check amount? I did not enter anything manually.

    ADMIN – Hi KJ,

The terms of the settlement read as follows:
You can claim $2.50 per product. Without a receipt you can claim up to 10 products, with receipts you can claim as many products as you wish.

This means that for you to get a check for $2,000 you were the purchaser of 800 qualified products. I believe the amount listed is the amount you spent not the amount you are getting.

  83. Faith Duignan says:

Hi. I filed a claim via mail on 8/28/17. When is this due to be settled and dispersed? Thank you.

    ADMIN – Hi Faith,

    Not yet.

  84. Debra Gauthier says:

I found out about the lawsuit after the deadline to claim. If I have a subscription, then the company already has a record of my purchases. Will they reimburse me, given that they know I am entitled to it?

    ADMIN – Hi Debra,

    Probably not.

  85. Vanessa says:

I received an email from the admin that the claims are being processed. Has anyone had their claim actually approved?

  86. Kimberly St Omer says:

    When will we receive payment?

    ADMIN – Hi Kimberly,

Once all appeals have been resolved and all claims validated by the admin. That can take from months to years.

  87. Danielle Mendoza says:

When we we get any updated information about the claims we have submitted?

    ADMIN – Hi Danielle,

I would not be surprised if this goes into appeals.

  88. Christina stall says:

I just heard about the honest company lawsuit & the deadline to submit has passed. I have been an honest member with multiple subscriptions since Nov 2013 to present. I’m very upset since I wasn’t notified by the Honest company about this and have extensively searched my email following learning of the law suit. I have well over $1000 in qualifable purchases. Will honest members automatically be included into the final judgement if they didn’t submit a claim by oct 2017?

    ADMIN – Hi Christina,

No, you will not be included.

  89. Christina stall says:

Why aren’t honest bundle subscribers automatically compensated and have to file claim form? This wasn’t clearly publized .thanks

    ADMIN – Hi Christina,

This was widely publicized. In fact the publicity was such that they had far more claimants than the percentage they expected. As to why they did not automatically compensate, that question is best addressed to to the class action administrator or The Honest Company.

  90. Lacey Sandrll says:

I filed a claim and have not received my check! When should I expect it?

    ADMIN – Hi Lacey,

    The case is under appeals.

  91. Karina says:

When will the settlement be payed out? I filled out all the paperwork and know what I’m getting back but I can’t fine a date or anything saying when it will be payed out? Help!

    ADMIN – Hi Karina,

Most settlements can take from months to years after the deadline has passed to be paid out.

  92. Mitchell says:

Is there any public information available about the outcome of the fairness heariing?

    ADMIN – Hi Mitchell,

You should be able to pull the docket from public records if you are inclined to read it.

  93. Laura Walker says:

Any updates on when claims/checks will be mailed out? my claim was over 2,000, just wondering. thank you

    ADMIN – Hi Laura,

I don’t have updates on this one yet.

  94. Kayla Cardio says:

I’m worried because it looks like people are being contacted about the claims they submitted. I submitted a claim online within the deadline but have not received an email or anything like some others have. And after reading these comments I’m worried! We had a bundles subscription for years and could really use the honest company credit for this next baby (we chose the store credit option). Has everyone been contacted ?! Of course I can’t find my confirmation that I submitted a claim online. I know I did though.

    ADMIN – Hi Kayla,

Reach out to the class action administrator

  95. Becky H. says:

The deadline was back in October – any ideas when rebates or any further information will be made? I submitted paperwork with receipts back in September. Thanks in advance.

    ADMIN – Hi Becky,

Reach out to the class action administrator.Their email is

  96. Paul Kelley says:

    We filed correctly and timely.
    When should funds be sent?
    Class Member Identification Number: THC0591481

    ADMIN – Hi Paul,

There was an appeal filed on January 8th 2018

  97. Lady T says:

Hi I filed my claim in September 2017 and I haven’t heard anything back or received anything in the mail. Is it suppose to take this long? Is there a way that we could check the status?

    ADMIN – Hi Lady,

    Have you contacted the admin?

  98. Jean says:

Hello, I filed my claim on August 24th 2017. I know that the final hearing is December 8th. Just want to know when we going to receive the claim and of there’s anyway I can check status. I receive email about the honest settlement. I have confirmation and stuff. Thanks

    ADMIN – Hi Jean,

You can reach out to the class action administrator by emailing

  99. Stephanie says:

Hi! If we are to check our inbox for updates what email address would it be from? And should I expect to hear an update or simply look for a check in the mail?
    Thank you

    ADMIN – Hi Stephanie,

I believe this is the email from the class action administrator in charge of this case

  100. joseph v says:

Well, it’s been a month and no news about rebate checks as usual;drag it out some more Honest Company!

    ADMIN – Hi Joseph,

Someone submitted an appeal on 1/8/18

  101. Brandy says:

I read on another site that an appeal was filed on 1/8/18. Do you know if that is true?

    ADMIN – Hi Brandy,

    I believe it is true.

  102. Susan S says:

I read that an appeal was filed 1/8/18. So more waiting I suppose.

    ADMIN – Hi Susan,

Yes, for a moment it looked like everything was clear and now it is not.

  103. Bethany B says:

So, since this appeal was filed on 01/08/2018, how long from now will we know something about refunds? Or do we really have no idea?

    ADMIN – Hi Bethany,

It may be a year or so.

  104. CB says:

Why would they file an appeal when the final hearing was to finalize the agreement all parties had previously agreed to? Do they have a date for appeal hearing?

    ADMIN – Hi CB,

That is the way class action settlements work. No dates yet, the system is overwhelmed and the current administration has failed to appoint judges.

  105. Abby Isringhausen says:

I filed a claim with this class action and had originally requested to receive a credit to Honest Company but that was based on the 2017 hearing. I didnt realize that it could be another year or more before receiving the credit. My kids may not even be using honest at that point so how can I change my request so that I receive a check?

    ADMIN – Hi Abby,

I don’t think you can, but you can always reach out to the admin to check.

  106. becky says:

When will the settlement be paid out?

    ADMIN – Hi Becky,

    The settlement is under appeals.

  107. Shelby says:

When will we get our checks ?

    ADMIN – Hi Shelby,

    the case is under appeals.

  108. Irene Shcherbachuk says:

I never got my refund. I got three post cards in the mail because my husband and I had accounts and made purchases with Honest Company. I filled out the online form for all three and never heard back or got anything back even though I was quoted over $50 that I would be getting

    ADMIN – Hi Irene,

This settlement is currently under appeals.

  109. Haley Folsom says:

I would like to know where my money is that I submitted claims for the day this came out????

    ADMIN – Hi Haley,

According to the official page this settlement is currently being appealed. That means your money will not be released until the appeal has been resolved.

  110. CPH says:

Hi there- just received an email that my claim was deficient because of no documentation for over 10 items. I had an Honest online account for the items over 10. I thought that the online account showing information would suffice?

    ADMIN – Hi CHP,

    Print screenshots.

  111. Lisa says:

I filled out all the requested info but didn’t have receipts-which you website says is still eligible for claim. I didn’t list more than 10, included product, location purchased and approx cost. I just received email today that says I can’t get any settlement without proof of purchase that is a receipt.

I believe the class action administrator is trying to validate claims that might appear fraudulent because they received more claims than products sold.

  112. Brandy says:

I received an email indicating that I had to provide proof of purchase. I originally thought that this was not needed because I was an honest company member. What is up with this?

    ADMIN – Hi Brandy,

Did you file with a PIN or without?

  113. Ashley Rigge says:

I’m a bundle member and have been purchasing Honest co since June 2016. I contacted Honest Co and they won’t send me receipts of my purchases via pdf form. I already filed a claim but it was denied since I didn’t provide receipts?!? What I did was take a screen shot of all of my recepits and sent them to the correct email. I’m not sure why that wasn’t good enough? Since I’m a bundle member I have record of all purchases, I’m just not sure how to send all of these receipts without providing a screen shot of all receipts?!
What should i be doing here?!

    ADMIN – Hi Ashley,

Reach out to class counsel and explain your situation. They may be able to provide you with better guidance.

  114. Ashley Rigge says:

I also was quoted I would be getting over $1000 back from this lawsuit so i would like to know what I need to be doing…

    ADMIN – Hi Ashley,

    Who quoted you that?

    • Ashley Rigge says:

I received a postcard in the mail to go online and file a claim last summer. Maybe June-ish? I’m a honest bundle member and they quoted me well over $1000.

      ADMIN – Hi Ashley,

It probably had the word “estimated” before the quote.

  115. Hope M says:

Hi, I received an email from another firm/website ( and completed the form. They already had my info and all my purchases in their system since my purchases were most all online through the Honest Co website (I’m guessing they had access to the database). They gave me the total I was expected to be refunded in the settlement. I read online that an appeal was filed, and haven’t seen anything since. Is there a deadline for this appeal? How long is it legally allowed to drag on before their window expires? Thank you!!

    ADMIN – Hi Hope,

Appeals can sometimes last years. There are no timelines as long as the judge thinks there is some validity to the appeals.

  116. Tia says:

I filed a form and never heard anything from anyone? I had two in diapers during the timeframe and ordered through honest??

    ADMIN – Hi Tia,

I have heard from numerous class members that they are getting requests for additional information.

  117. Tia says:

I found an email, read above, will submit screenshots, see where that goes. Like the other I was a bundle honest member – for two in diapers!

  118. Andrea says:

I received a check today in the mail.

    ADMIN – Hi Andrea,

    How much?

    • Brandy says:

I got a piece of mail for the SLS settlement today. Have been home to open it though. I haven’t heard anything this this settlement though.

    • Andrea says:

      Around 10 dollars.

I have multiple other accounts with Honest Company though, but I do remember that was the amount they quoted me for one of my refunds.

  119. Katharine Nelson says:

How do I know where in the case they are? And I have moved since I filled will I still get my check?

    ADMIN – Hi Katharine,

Submit a change of address with the class action administrator.

    • Katharine Nelson says:

How do I go about doing that?

      ADMIN – Hi Katharine,

Scroll up, look under the subheading titled “contact” take note of the email address and send an email reporting your new address.

  120. Autum says:

I got a check in the mail today for $52.42, not that I’m complaining but it was estimated I would receive about $2,500. I had a diaper bundle for 2.5 yrs not to mention all the other things I ordered from Honest Co. Is there more coming because $52 is nowhere close to the amount originally estimated?

    ADMIN – Hi Autum,

I believe the settlement was divided among valid claimants and resulted in lesser amounts than expected.

  121. Deena says:

I was quoted online $900 cash or much more for a credit with honest. I went with the cash payout. to my surprise I just received a check for $52. What is going on?

    ADMIN – Hi Deena,

I believe the settlement was divided pro rata among all valid claims. People without evidence received about $10 people with evidence received $50 or so.

    • Deena says:

So why was that not stated when we originally filed the claim? I stated a very different number originally based on all the products we purchased though the years.

      ADMIN – Deena,

If you are a Class Member, you are eligible to receive a share of the Settlement Amount, by timely and validly claiming, through submission of a claim form, $2.50 for each purchase of a Product for up to ten (10) Products without Proof of Purchase and unlimited Products with Proof of Purchase for either your choice of U.S. Dollars or a Credit for a future purchase at, with the actual value of the share depending on the amount you paid for the Products you purchased and the number of timely and valid claims submitted by Class Members, as described below, and more fully in the Settlement.

In order to verify retail purchases (i.e., purchases not on of Products the Class Member must submit to the Claims Administrator a receipt.
Online purchases on of Products the Class Member made will be considered verified if the purchases are reflected in Honest’s records.
The award to each class member will be determined by the following formula:
First subtract from the “Settlement Payment” of $7,350,000 payments to the Representative Plaintiffs (discussed in Section 12 below), payments to the attorneys representing the Class (discussed in Section 11 below) and payments to the Claims Administrator for providing notice to the Class and to administer the Settlement. This is the “Net Settlement Amount.” Assuming the Court grants the Representative Plaintiffs and their counsel their full requested payments ($45,000 and $2,450,000, respectively), and an estimated reimbursement to the Claims Administrator of $700,000, the estimated Net Settlement amount would be $4,155,000.
The Claims Administrator shall calculate the total amount of Settlement Payments and Credits timely and validly claimed by Authorized Claimants. The sum of the Settlement Payments and Credits claimed shall be the “Total Amount Claimed.”
The Net Settlement Amount shall be divided by the number of Total Amount Claimed; the resulting figure is the “Pro Rata Multiplier”.
For each Authorized Claimant, the Claims Administrator shall multiply the amount of Settlement Payment or Credits he or she timely and validly claimed by the Pro Rata Multiplier. The resulting figure shall be the Gross Allocated Amount for each such Authorized Claimant.
The terms and conditions of the Settlement Credit are as follows: (a) to use the Credit, the Authorized Claimant must already have or must create an account; (b) Credits will be available to upload at for nine (9) months after transmission, but once applied by the Authorized Claimant to his or her Honest account the Credits will not expire; (c) Credits can only be loaded into an account once, but once loaded can be applied to multiple purchases if sufficient funds are available; (d) Credits are not redeemable for gift cards or cash, including no cash back; (e) Credits will not be valid for prior purchases; and (f) Credits will not be replaced if lost, stolen, expired, or damaged.
As explained more fully in the Settlement, Honest also agrees to implement the following regarding its labeling practices for the Products: (a) Honest will not place on labels for the Products statements that the Products are “all natural” or “100% natural.” Honest agrees to implement the terms of this subparagraph on or before three (3) months after the Final Settlement Date; (b) Honest will not place on labels for the Products the phrase “no harsh chemicals, ever!” if the Products contain Methylisothiazolinone or Cocamidopropylamine oxide in an amount that is more than incidental. Honest agrees to implement the terms of this subparagraph on or before twelve (12) months after the Final Settlement Date; (c) To the extent the labels describe the finished Product as “natural,” “naturally derived,” “plant-based” and/or “plant-derived” Honest will: (i) Define the term(s) on its website; (ii) For the Product(s) using the term(s), space permitting and where appropriate, provide the URL to the Company’s website; (iii) Define the term(s) either: (A) in reference to the Product’s bio-content as meeting the testing standards specified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture “biobased” certification program, or (B) based on regulatory and statutory definitions, such as those in the European Union. Honest agrees to implement the terms of this subparagraph on or before twelve (12) months after the Final Settlement Date.

    • syd says:

I also received a check for 52 bucks. But I also remember filling out 2 different claim forms with 2 different amounts (5600 bucks, and 250 bucks), with also 2 different end court dates…I’m assuming that this check is from the claim for the lower amount because the case for the claim for the higher amount still says that an appeal has been filed and it’s my understanding that funds can’t be released until the case has been completely closed.

  122. Jenna says:

I received a check today for around $10, my claim was for $1,200!!!! I hope this is not the only check I will be getting!!!

    ADMIN – Hi Jenna,

Do you recall filing two claims for two distinct settlements?

  123. Liz says:

    Received $10 check today?

  124. natalie says:

i received a check in the mail today for $10.81. my filed claim over 5 years was worth a lot more than this between my accounts. I’m baffled why i received such a small amount

    ADMIN – Hi Natalie,

There have been two distinct cases against Honest. This is for one case only.

  125. Caro says:

I just received a check for $10. I was expecting about $300. All of my purchases were online and therefore I did not need to submit proof. What happened?

    ADMIN – Hi Caro,

That is because you filed for two Honest settlements, the one for the bigger amount is under appeals.

  126. Lily says:

I just received 2 checks, one was for $32 and one for $11. I remember having 3 claims. So I wonder if I’ll get the 3rd check.

    ADMIN – Hi Lily,

There are two cases against Honest.

    • Lily says:

Update. I just looked through my papers and I had 3claims, 2 that are with Honest SLS MDL settlement and I believe that’s the 2 checks I rec’d today. $10.48 and $31.46. I still have the last settlement which was the one where it was a higher quoted amount and that’s the “honest marketing litigation” so I wonder if we’re all mixing it up. Who knows, still a nice surprise

  127. Lorie says:

I have a question, I got my check for the class action lawsuit and it was only for $32. I purchased all of my items through, about 180 over the last 3 years included in the settlement, the amount submitted was $750 (this amount was automatically filled in, I guess through their records). I am thinking maybe that is how much I spent, so if we were supposed to get back $2.50 for each item, we did I only end up with $32? This doesn’t seem fair. I saved the file submitted and I verified the amount. I am guessing all of the items purchased through their website didn’t count. Thanks!

    ADMIN – Hi Lorie,

There are two cases for Honest.

    • Lorie says:

I didn’t see the comments at the bottom until I submitted my question. I see that many people had the same problem. I didn’t realize that everyone would be getting back around the same amount even though we were led to believe it was per item that we would be getting back.

      ADMIN – Hi Lorie,

Please note that there are two cases for Honest. Did you qualify for both?

  128. Colten says:

I think alot of people are confused. The checks we just got are for the SLS settlement. The other one is still in appeal. Because they just emailed me yesterday for addition receipts and proof for that one.

  129. Consuelo says:

I was so worried that my settlement was only 10.46
Because that is the only amount I received

    ADMIN – Hi Consuelo,

Why would you be worried? A class action settlement is just a little extra not something you should be counting on to pay the rent.

  130. Laura says:

I have not received any information on my case and the email that was associated with the claim I no longer have access to.. how am i to figure out my claim??

    ADMIN – Hi Laura,

You can reach out to the class action administrator.

  131. Tonia says:

I am confused by the two separate suits now. This didn’t seem to be mentioned prior. When I filed it said I had $4500 or there about. It was automatically filled in. I got a check for $52.42 yesterday. I’m confused about the second one….so this larger amount one is still pending?

    ADMIN – Hi Tonia,

    This one:
he Honest Company Inc., Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) Marketing & Sales Practices Litigation, Case No. 2:16-ML-02719 AB (RAOx), in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division

    And this one

    In re Honest Marketing Litigation
    Case No. 16-CV-01125

  132. Tim says:

I havn’t received anything yet, just looked this up today because I knew court date was December 8th & its about time to get my check. Everything I ordered was online (had no proof of what I had bought @ Target)

    ADMIN – Hi Tim

The checks are out. They are for far less than expected.

  133. Amanda says:

I got a check today from Honest Marketing Litigation and it was about $160. For some reason it had my name and my husbands. We didn’t file a claim together.

    ADMIN – Hi Amanda,

    Was he the account holder?

    • Amanda says:

No the account is under my name.

      ADMIN – Hi Amanda,

Then don’t cash the check and reach out to the class action administrator.

  134. CC says:

On January 23, the appeal to the Honest Company Mislabeling Class Action Settlement was dismissed.

  135. Alyssa says:

I received two checks today- one for “honest marketing litigation settlement fund” ($71.91) & one for Honest SLS MDL settlement (20.99). My friend received one from the marketing litigation one for $281.

  136. Duped says:

I think the whole thing is a bit fishy. I received a check for only $13.18, even though I was told it would be $152.00. Seems like someone really wanted this case to go through, by what I’ve been reading a lot of other people were promised high amounts also. Most people aren’t going to go into the class action process for a few bucks and that’s what all the high promises were for, to get people to go along with the class action.

    Hi D,

Please note that there were two Honest cases. One is still under appeals. Could it be that you filed for both?

  137. Heather Niemiec says:

I received my settlement check today. It is NOT what was stated when I filed my claim online. Based on the claim, I was supposed to receive around $1,650.
The check I received today was for $167.50.
    Very disappointed.
I used their diaper/wipes monthly service for over 3 years along with many other products.

    ADMIN – Hi Heather,

Please tell me the case name on the settlement check. There were to Honest settlements that took place at the same time and I suspect this one is for the soap.

    • Heather Niemiec says:

So, what was the “other” claim to be completed? I did one online that stated a refund around $1,600.

      ADMIN – Hi Heather,

Around, approximately and estimated. Those are the keywords associated to this settlement.

  138. Lisa says:

I received mine as well, from Honest Marketing Litigation Settlement Fund. I did not have a claim for the SLS one. This check was a lot less than expected too.

  139. Carly says:

I just received a check today in the amount of $185.46. This came from Honest Marketing Litigation Settlement Fund in Philadelphia, PA.
In the beginning, I only remember getting an email with a pin and being notified that I would receive around $2000. I don’t really understand all the complicated fine print! Anyhow, from what I’m reading, this seems to be the 2nd settlement. I can’t find anything in my emails and suppose this is better than nothing! I have the claim form that I printed with my settlement info on it. Any feedback would be appreciated!! BTW.. I have a bundle through the Honest app from 2/01/14- present.

    ADMIN – Hi Carly,

From what we can gather the settlement was divided proportionately among qualified class members.

  140. Tiffany Fergus says:

We just received a check as well for a very small amount after seeing that we were supposed to get back a few thousand dollars I’m confused as to why the check was so small. What is the second settlement that is still pending for?

    ADMIN – Hi Tiffany,

It appears the settlement was adjusted proportionately among all qualified class members.

    • Tiffany Fergus says:

Also, I filed through this website for the class action suit. Did I have to file an additional claim?

      ADMIN – Hi Tiffany,

You never file through this website. This website gives you the links to the official websites and you file there.

  141. mary says:

I received my check today. A grand total of…..$2.29. Ugh! That’s it???? I had eight items!!

    ADMIN – Hi Mary,

I am hearing similar reports from everyone else.

  142. Jennifer Cowie says:

I received a check in the mail today for $98.34. According to the email I received in August for case H00044938 I should have received over $1000. I see comments above that there are multiple lawsuits, and that the payout for some was likely lower than originally expected. Is that the case? Please advise.

    ADMIN – Hi Jennifer,

It appears the monies were divided proportionately among qualified class members resulting in a lesser amount

  143. Jessica says:

Hi there- I had two separate claims for the Case No. 16-CV-01125 (because I had two different email address and accounts). I only received one check today for the lower amount claim and have not received the claim that I submitted for the higher amount both under the same settlement. I submitted both same day too? Could you please look into this for me please?

    ADMIN – Hi Jessica,

I can’t look into it. is not the class administrator. You need to contact the administrator directly to secure assistance.

  144. Cassy says:

How do you know if u qualified for both claims? I reciecived 50$ and had all proof and was quoted over 500$? What’s going on, will I recieve another check ?

    ADMIN – Hi Cassy,

The $50 is probably for the marketing settlement. You can always contact the class action administrator to verify if you are in both settlements.

  145. Jillian F says:

I got two checks today. Both for Honest Marketing Litigation. One for $1.02 and another for $3.79. I forget what the original amounts were that I filed for but it was much more than that! I only remember filing for 2 claims so guessing that’s why I got two checks but wondering why they are so much lower than expected?!

    ADMIN – Hi Jilian,

Large numbers of valid claims usually explains that.

  146. Elizabeta Ediet says:

    Same here.
I received today one check for $20.99 (Honest SLS MDL Settlement),
and the other one for $368.65 (Honest marketing litigation settlement fund – THC). When I filed my claim on 8/28/2017, the verified amount I was supposed to receive was $4,060.44 (claim for the Case No. 16-CV-01125, THC). That is quite a difference! I can not express myself how disappointed I am.
I too used all of their products since my daughter was born in July 2014.
Where did the settlement money really go???

    ADMIN – Hi Elizabeta,

It is entirely possible that the estimate was made based on a low # for participation and then distributed pro rata.

  147. L Derouen says:

I am now seeing from above there are 2 cases, one still being in appeal. I only got email for 1 claim submission. Did that one claim go for both cases? I have used diaper/wipe bundle consistently for over 3 years every month and the essentials bundle randomly over the same amount of years.

    ADMIN – Hi L,

Just tell me the name of the case on your check and that will give me lots of clues as to what you have in front of you.

  148. Aleta says:

I received a check today that was much much lower than originally stated. I have been informed not to cash it because once you do you are accepting it as a “settlement” from Honest as lower number in the form of less money. Is it true to wait it out once it’s “officially settled” in court? ’

    ADMIN – Hi Aleta,

It would be best if you contact class counsel with your question.

  149. Dannie says:

This settlement is a joke I got no where near the amount I was supposed to .

    ADMIN – Hi Dannie,

    That is indeed sad.

  150. Casey Bernhardt says:

Who do I contact to find out why I haven’t received the settlement. I opted into getting a credit since I still use their products. I never recieved any emails other than the conformation one.

    ADMIN – Hi Casey,

You contact the class action administrator.

  151. Rebecca says:

I received an email from the Honest Marketing Litigation saying my “Allowed Amount” was over $3,600, but that my claim was deficient because I didn’t provide all the necessary proof of purchase. (Still not sure what they are referring to, since I triple checked each item claimed had a receipt attached.)
But I just received a check from the Marketing Litigation Settlement Fund for $331. Was I supposed to have gotten $3,600, but got significantly less because I didn’t provide the proof of purchase they needed quickly enough?

    ADMIN – Hi Rebecca,

You can reach out to the class action administrator, but I believe what happened was that they had a larger number than expected valid claims.

    • Rebecca says:

Seems like people are only getting about 10% of the amount originally “quoted” to them?

      ADMIN – Hi Rebecca,

It sure seems like the estimated amount was way off.

  152. J says:

I also received the deficiency email even though I submitted screen shots originally, I only saw this email once I found it in my junk after seeing someone post. No check yet but should I resend those same screen shots printed out? I still have them saved and they have the correct information that email is requesting. Or is it too late to do that even though I already submitted them?

    ADMIN – Hi J,

I believe it is too late but you can always give it a try.

  153. Rhonda says:

You guys are complaining you only got a couple HUNDRED dollars? Lets not be greedy people! This is money spent, on a product, while spending you had the notion you would never ever be seeing that money again. I submitted receipts for my product purchases. Receipts and ordered everything directly from their website and received my settlement today, $2.27. To top it off, i emailed the administrator immediately after submitting my claim, confirmed all details were input properly and was given confirmation that it was. What went wrong?

    • Pat says:

That’s the exact amount I got also – $2.27. I think the company could have avoided all the confusion by SAYING IN THE COVER LETTER that due to the high number of claims, check amounts will be lower than anticipated. Such a simple thing to do.

  154. Mike says:

Just got a check for $575.72. Looks like it went through. What a blessing.

  155. Denisse Ibarra says:

My experience is similar to some of the contributors above. My estimated settlement based on the products that I purchased on the Honest Co. website was $36. Today I received a check for $3.64. I feel like I wasted my time in filing and even emailing to change my address. Thanks for the cup of coffee, Honest Co. 🙄

  156. Brandy says:

I got mail for honest litigation, but have not been able to pick it up from the post office. I wonder how much it is for

  157. Kelly says:

I’m sick of people filing false claims and lowering my settlement. I had proof of purchase and received only $2.

  158. CB says:

Why would I get a check today from THC marketing when as of a month ago, the settlement went into appeal and appears to still be in that status? Secondly, my THC settlement claim was estimated to be $1400 not the $122 I just received.

    ADMIN – Hi CB,

Keyword in this case is estimated. The settlements are adjusted based on participation then divided either proportionally or pro rata.

  159. Lilma says:

Im thankful i got something back at all, thanks Lit lawyers!

  160. Erin says:

I too was quoted as receiving more than $3,300 for my claim, and actually received $289 today from honest marketing litigation settlement fund. I also received a check last week for $10 from the SLS MDL settlement. It’s nice to get any amount as part of the class action, but disappointing that the estimate was so far off, especially since most of the claimants, like myself, used’s monthly diaper bundle, so the company should have been able to use its records to pretty accurately guess how many class members it would have. Sounds like the calculation for claims was deficient. Also seems misleading when enticing people to forego their claims and join the class action by estimating each class member would receive such a large amount in return. Boo.

    ADMIN – Hi Erin,

You could always reach out to class counsel to voice your complaint.

  161. Erin says:

What happened to the appeal? I thought it was still pending.

    ADMIN – Hi Erin,

If the checks went out it means the appeal cleared.

  162. Jill Gold says:

So I received a check in the mail yesterday, 2/26/18 however I’m not sure which case it pertains to as I’m now learning there are 2 cases. On 8/24/14 I received an email and a pin for Case No. 16‑cv‑01125. I filled out the required form and that was that. On 2/2/18 I received another email for proof of purchase. No big deal as I went ahead and attached the screenshots from my honest account at the time that same day. I noticed that email I received had a different case number, 8703-DEF. Which check did I actually receive on the 26th of February? I may also add that the original quote for my check was substantially higher than what I received which was basically 10% of my quote (from August). May I please have some clarification?

    ADMIN – Hi Jill,

I believe the amount quoted was an estimation based on low participation. The reality of the settlement appears to be a pro rata distribution. You can always reach out to the class action administrator to obtain additional details.

    • Jill Gold says:

Thank you so much. I wanted to make sure everything was correct as I was confused by some receiving 2 checks when I only got one. I was under the assumption that I got only partial but I’m okay either way! 🙂

  163. Heather edwards says:

    I’ve received two checks also.
$10.48 SLS and $166.06 Honest Marketing.
I’m also confused as the case is still under appeal.
My verified amount was almost $3k

Happy to have a little extra spending money for our next vacation. But 3k would’ve been a heck of a lot nicer.

    ADMIN – Hi Heather,

I believe the settlement was divided pro rata and the number of qualified claims was created than expected.

  164. Heather H says:

I received two checks this week. The first one was from the Honest SLS case for $10.48. The second check for a paltry $9.54 was for this Marketing Litigation Settlement. I submitted proof of purchase for 15 products totaling over $80 and believed I would be getting back $2.50 for each item. What I actually received hardly made it worth the time I spent finding and converting my receipts into JPGs and carefully filling out the form in tedious detail for each individual purchase.

  165. Ashley Rigge says:

I also received two checks yesterday as well. One for 86.77 and one for 47.43. My settlement amount last summer said I was to get was more than that, like $1300 or something! (I’m a monthly bundle member at Honest)
Will there me more checks coming or how does this work?? Thanks.

    ADMIN – Hi Ashley,

    I don’t think so

  166. Christy Vawerchak says:

I also just received (2) checks in the mail – one for $20.99 and yesterday another one for $229. I was a monthly subscriber as well for both diapers and also household cleaners etc with Honest . Are these settlement checks for the household items or both household and diaper class actions settlements ? I read above there is still a case pending that is in appeals so when that settles will there be another check coming out ?

I also had high amounts when I filled out the paperwork but know that those amounts change as proceedings take place and actual cash values change with the case . ( My background is corporate law ) . #blessed for receiving anything cause this is a huge class action.

  167. Nancy says:

Received 2 checks – one is the THC MARKETING SETTLEMENT CLAIM for $100.18 (I was estimated to receive over $1,000); and the ohter check is for $10.48 referencing the HC INC SLS MKT & SLS PRCT LIT SETTLEMENT FUND.

I was expecting far more from the THC Marketing Settlement. What’s going on?

    ADMIN – Hi Nancy,

Pro rata distribution. Far more applicants than what was originally expected.

  168. Kate Merritt Davis says:

I filled out the form due in Oct. I only saw one? I claimed diapers for the most part. Was there a separate site or form for soap? My husband got a check for a whopping 2.27 for four items claimed (two hand sanitizers, two packs of diapers — no soap) bought in store. I did the claim for our online subscription purchases (diapers, wipes, cream, toothpaste etc) from
My question is were there two claim forms to fill out or were the claims divided by type of product? I’m confused why he got a check when he only claimed diapers and sanitizer if this is the check for soap settlement, since we both only filled out the same form (one for him, one for me) at

I also submitted a change of email address (reflected in my account as well) and never got a confirmation that it was acknowledged.

    ADMIN – Hi Kate,

Your questions are best suited for the class action administrator, please contact them directly.

    • Kate Merritt Davis says:

Well I got my 2.27 today. I’m disappointed that it is nowhere near the 9% pro rata, which I assume is because I didn’t have the invoices from my online subscription. But when filing the claim, I could’ve sworn it said the purchases were verifiable by my account, so I didn’t screen shot each one from the two years. Oh well. I will email them but I don’t expect any further action since it is too late.

  169. Nicole G says:

Yes I too received my whopping $2.38 yesterday. I was expecting over $50 so Based on the other comments I will just expect this as payment in full.

    ADMIN – Hi Nicole,

    Most likely

  170. Megan Lozada says:

I received a check yesterday 2/26 for $76.72 (live in Virginia) from Honest Marketing Litigation Settlement Fund. I was originally quoted over $800+. I only remember filing one claim. Is this the final check? Is there a number to call? I tried emailing prior and they confirmed my amount of the $800+ but I have not heard back after emailing them yesterday.

    ADMIN – Hi Megan,

I believe the settlement was divided proportionally among all qualified class members. The number of participants was higher than estimated.

  171. Jillian F says:

I guess it doesn’t work this way but to me, the people who had proof of purchase should have gotten their pay first and then whatever was left over should be split among the people that didn’t since it very clearly seems to have been a lot of fraudulent claims in this case since their estimates were so high compared to actual payout.

    ADMIN – Hi Jillian,

My understanding is that people with proof received a more advantageous amount.

    • Jillian F says:

That wasn’t the case for me. I bought $75 worth of products right from the Honest website so had the proof of purchase right there and I still just got $3 back. I understand that it’s “something” considering I never planned on getting anything back when I purchased, just sad that people are dishonest and ruin it for actual paying customers.

      ADMIN – Hi Jillian,

This is what the ADMIN is emailing to customers

This came from directly from the settlement company when I emailed them.

Thank you for contacting the Honest Marketing Litigation Claims Administrator.

There were more than 141,000 Eligible Claims received and processed in this settlement.

The total approved claim Amount (“Allowed Amount”) for all eligible claims was more than $43 million. The Net Settlement Fund amount available to distribute to all eligible claims, was $3.9 million.

Pursuant to the Settlement Agreement, this resulted in each eligible claim receiving a pro-rata share of approximately 9.079% of their Allowed Amount. ($3,900,000 divided by $43,000,000 = 9.07%)

Some things to remember regarding how claims were evaluated and Allowed Amounts were determined:

      * The first 10 products claimed were valued at $2.50 per item. Any product over 10 required documentation in order to be valid.

      * Valid Documentation means: (a) a receipt, (b) an itemized invoice, (c) other documentation that establishes the fact, date of purchase, and the price paid for an Honest product.

      * Supporting documentation must have included the name of the eligible product and the individual purchase price, in addition to the purchase date.

      * Supporting documentation with simply a delivered date and an Honest order code, or a credit card statement with a total dollar purchase was not sufficient.

      * Simply submitting a photograph or screen print of the product, itself, was not sufficient.

  172. Carmen F. says:

I have informed delivery through USPS and it said I should have received something on Monday, February 26th. I didn’t receive anything Monday, Tuesday or with today’s mail. I’m guessing it was accidentally delivered to the wrong address. At what point should I report it missing? Who do I report this to?

    ADMIN – Hi Carmen,

Contact the class action administrator and request a replacement.

    • Carmen F. says:

      Thank you!

It still wasn’t in the mail so I am guessing that I will never see that original piece of mail. I called the toll free number but there wasn’t an option in their menu for missing items so I e-mailed them. Hopefully, that will work.

      Thanks again!

  173. Carla B says:

Hi. If it’s pro rata, why did others receive over $100 when they expected $1000 and I only received $7.16 when I expected over $1000?

    ADMIN – Hi Carla,

You can call the administrator to obtain clarification.

  174. PAMELA MANTOOTH says:

I spent over $4,000 on my bundles the past 4 years however my check was for $2.76. My sister in law used the bundles for less then a year and has got over $150.00 I files my claim and also have all my bank statements. I cant find any information or direct number to contact anyone

  176. Valerie says:

I submitted a claim and was told I’d receive a check for around $400. Received a check for around only $40?

    ADMIN – Hi Valerie,

Please scroll around to see additional comments regarding this settlement.

  177. AK says:

Hi! I was wondering if anyone has received a credit, which I elected for, but have not yet received. The class action administrator has not responded to my email. Thank you.

  178. J says:

If I received the deficiency email I mentioned above but didn’t respond in the allotted time, should I expect a check at all for the first 10 or nothing at all if I didn’t respond?

    ADMIN – Hi J

I heard someone said that they received a check for $2.26

  179. Dawn P says:

How do I check the status of my claim?

    ADMIN – Hi Dawn,

By emailing the class action administrator.

  180. Michelle says:

I’ve been subscribed to Honest products since 2012 for all my children, spending more than $100 monthly, which i have receipts for. I did not know about this settlement until now. I realize I’m way beyond the due date. Is there any way I can still claim what Corresponds to my purchases?

    Please advise.

    ADMIN – Hi Michelle,

    Sadly there is not.

  181. Valerie aviles says:

I filed a claim havnt heard nothing

    ADMIN – Hi Valerie,

This was paid out a few months ago. You may still be in time to escalate. Reach out to the class action administrator.

  182. Cynthia says:

I have not received anything. It didn’t even ask me to send receipts(which I do have).

    ADMIN – Hi Cynthia,

Try reaching out to the admin but you may be a bit too late.

  183. Pamela Jordan says:

I received a check which has a voided date. Can it be reissued?

    ADMIN – Hi Pamela,

Did you receive it already voided by expiration date or did you neglect to cash it?

    • Paul says:

I just found ours and we forgot to cash it before the 90 days were up. Can we still deposit it or can it be reissued

      ADMIN – Hi Paul,

      Sadly you have no recourse
