  4. Tom says:

That’s funny. I probably bought at least 100 12 packs of this while I was living in LA. Best priced decent tasting beer at my local liquor store. Don’t have any of the receipts and I don’t think they ever itemized them anyway. They’ve been printing that it’s brewed in LA for as long as I can remember. Maybe they’re just making the text larger.

  5. Kalvin says:

I gave this beer a shot and it failed. Not buying it again!

  7. krystle jackson says:

Very disappointed to hear this news! I bartended at a Japanese restaurant for 4 years this was our number one seller for sake bombs with EVERYONE (including myself) under the impression that this product was imported. What goes better with sushi than a japanese beer …Not!! To think how much money was spent on a product that was not what it appeared to be is bothersome.

  8. Jerry sanchez says:

  15. jason straubel says:

I purchased at least 3 12packs of this beer a week from Winn Dixie for over 6months come to find out it wasn’t made in Japan very upsetting I will still drink it but not for the price I was paying I could have flew to Japan and bought my own brewery for the amount I spent over the last 6months lol

  16. Shaun B says:

  17. Sherarn Wuerfel says:

I bought 5 six packs of Karin to have accompany a sushi party thinking it was an authentic Japanese beer.
I had no idea it was made here! I feel like s liar as I represented the authentic Jspanese dinner with miso soup, sushi n Tappan chef hired for an authentic Japanese dinner for my guests!
Everyone was dressed in traditional Japanese style and I represented everything at the dinner as Japanese.
I’m upset that the beer was misrepresented. There were options available that were Japanese beer.

  18. Ellie Sheely says:

I bought several 6 packs and not that upset it was not brewed in Japan…But fair is fair so please include me. Starving kids and mistreated dogs…that upsets me.

  22. Breanna says:

I had purchased this beer under the impression that it was ‘ethnic’, not brewed here in the US. US brew is totally great as well, but bringing several packs of this beer to events and parties, representing the quality and rarity of the beer. Looking back, I now feel silly for ‘repping’ it. HAH. Will not be purchasing this brand any longer. And will definitely be doing my own, personal research prior to making “cool” purchases.

  23. Karen Johnston says:

  29. Jennifer says:

Thats unfortunate for Anheuser-Busch but also not very cool to mislead the public. Maybe we need to just pay more attention as well as the manufacturers not trying to trick us by small print. Glad they are changing the label to be more clear.

  30. Bill Ford says:

I filed a valid claim in January, 2015 (did not have proof of purchase) and I received a claim number when it was completed. I read that settlement checks were issued earlier this month (November), but I never received mine. Is there a # to call for follow-up? Thanks.
