  10. Josh Vanmersbergen says:

I filled out a claim and have not recieved any info. I have a claim ID number. Not only did my transmission in my 2014 Sentra go bad, but I had to take it to the dealer 3 times. First time I picked it up, it broke down 3 miles away. They changed a part and that was not the solution. I had to get it towed back. The second time I picked it up, they put transmission in. I paid for repairs. It broke down 2 miles down the road again. I had to pay to get it towed back to Nissan. They said an employee had not bled the lines. The third time I picked it up, I had to argue that I was not paying for the first parts they changed since it was not bad it was the transmission. I see the case is closed and am interested in knowing if I am being reimbursed.

  25. Linda S ReasonJernigan says:

I have sent in the postcard sent to me concerning this class action law suit vs Nissan last year when it was first sent out.
Since then I have called Capstone Lawyers and sent 2 or more emails to Therese Carrol who I was told was handling the case. Still no response (it’s been 3 weeks).
At this point, my Versa Note 2016 (3N1CE2CP7GL393935) broke down a month ago, due to the transmission breaking down. Last Nov-Jan 2020 the pedal was sticking when I accelerated which I believe has not contributed to the transmission completely going out and needs to be replaced.
Lastly, Can someone please contact me? My car is sitting in the parking lot for a month now, I can neither pay for the repair of the transmission nor can I return it to the dealership.
Please respond. Linda Reason Jernigan 602 516 0580

My name is Tracey Foshee, I sent two sets of copies at different times before the cut-off date in January of 2020. My NIA-60012608001. I sent in a copy of the Nissan statement and bill for telling me it was my transmission. I got it fixed with a nationwide transmission specialist qualified for CVT transmissions. I sent a copy of this showing every detail of what it cost to replace and fire the transmission. I haven’t heard anything back. I would like to know when or what is happening with my claim. I know I’m one of many cases ya’ll are working on. Look forward to resolving this matter soon.

Same as everyone else, I submitted a claim and haven’t heard anything. In all likelihood, there won’t be much more communication from the settlement admin directly. Valid claim checks, according to the last update in April on the settlement website, are to be mailed within 90 days of the effective date, which was May 10th. This means checks SHOULD be in the mail no later than August 8th. We will have to wait and see.

If I receive a check in the coming days or any other form of communication from the settlement admin, I’ll post a reply here to let people know. If anyone else hears anything, please do the same.
