Etter, et. al. v. Norcold Inc.,Case No. 8:13-CV-0081-JLS-RNB,District Court for the Central District of California
According to the plaintiffs certain Norcold gas absorption refrigerators, normally installed in RVs and boats, have a cooling unit issue which may cause the boiler tubes to corrode and leak flammable gas which could increase the risk of a fire.
The Norcold class action lawsuit alleged the manufacturer is liable for breach of state consumer protection laws as well as breach of express and implied warranties.
The manufacturer denies the allegations but has agreed to settle.
