Case Summary
This settlement resolves several similar class actions against NAPG, entitled Edwards v. North American Power & Gas LLC (D. Conn); Fritz v. North American Power & Gas LLC (D. Conn); Arcaro v. North American Power & Gas LLC (D. Conn); Tully v. North American Power & Gas LLC (D. Conn); and Zahn v. North American Power & Gas LLC (N.D. Ill.). Plaintiffs Paul Edwards, Gerry Wendrovsky, Sandra Desrosiers, Linda Soffron, John Arcaro, Michael Tully, David Fritz, and Peggy Zahn (the “Representative Plaintiffs”) filed lawsuits against NAPG on behalf of themselves and all others similarly situated. The lawsuits allege that NAPG made misleading representations, contrary to its obligations under applicable laws. Plaintiffs also allege that NAPG’s rates were not, as it claimed in its consumer contracts, based on market related factors or prevailing market rates.

Yes, I had north American for about a year or so around 2012 or 2013 recall having issues with the bill added to my Atlantic City Electric bill and I dropped them after about a year. They were awful

Enrolled my business in the green energy program without my consent. Very fraudulent.
Just found this as we learned we have been had by NAP&G here in NH.
Basically they charged nearly double what Liberty charged during the same 3 year period- they sent one notification and nothing more after our “fixed rate” contract expired, we declined to renew… or so we thought, verbal doesn’t count we guess.
So for the last 3 years we have seen our rates climb to double what they had been. Of course the billing comes through Liberty Utilities, so its very misleading; one assumes it is Liberty. Nope hidden well in mouse type is NAP&G who mark up the “market rate to double”
Thieves by any name and evidentially our state government allows the misleading practice to continue
I had and still have North American Power with a variable rate electricity.
