The reason these credit card plus zip code lawsuits are usually California only is because there is a California State Law forbidding this practice. There is no law against this practice in most other states.

Most stores ask for zip code that how they determine where they should put another store (if so many people are willing to travel they would shop more if a store was local)….it just happens that state has a law making it illegal…..

  14. Ashley says:

Who cares if they ask for a zip code? Why would anyone sue them over this. And you’re dumb if you try and collect on this. That are doing this so they know where to put another store. I think that’s incredibly smart of them.
