Hi , I received in the mail today the paper work for the PPG law suit . I have emails and pictures and replies back from PPG. It was a lot of work I had to rent a floor sander to sand my decks surface, and my deck was 15 foot by 48 foot . I rented a floor sander for 3 days and used several sander belts . I have pictures and responses from PPG, If you please contact me for the information I have that would be great .

    Thank you,

  5. Margaret Huddleston says:

I have bought the paint. 3 years ago. used it on decks . NO GOOD . flakes off decks are a mess now. BUT i thought it qouls work, Can I still claim it . I have no receipt

    ADMIN – Hi Margaret,

Do you still have the deck?

  6. Susan Carter says:

I wonder if anyone has filed a lawsuit like this with their other stains. I had an entire new deck rot in two years due to water being trapped under the stain when it peeled up. I’m furious.
Olympic Maximum solid color stain is what I used. We have had to entirely rebuild our deck. Mind you the front porch hasn’t had this stain and is still perfect after 15 years. I thought I was being proactive.

    ADMIN – Hi Susan,

    Rustoleum had a similar settlement.

  7. william mcgary says:

  11. Gene Silva says:

Similar problem, deck rotting thru and underneath supports are bouncy. Our deck is 1600 sq.ft. and spent alot of time prepping and applying this product only for it to last only 6 months or so. It is mildewing, galvanized nails are rusting thru, peeling but the worst is the rotting. I am 60 years old and have to rip out and replace this deck?

  15. Tammy Robinson says:

Is there a class action suit for Olympic Elite Stain?
This stain also dried out my deck, causing cracking and splitting. Stain has faded in spots.

    ADMIN – Hi Tammy,

Not that I know about it but you can always contact a class action attorney to see if you can get something started.

  16. Dawn D. Kara says:

I bought Olympic Recue It for my 16’x14′ lower deck, and for my upper deck that goes around a 28′ pool. I am so sorry I did! The lower deck started peeling off right away, and the upper deck now has holes all around it!
I should have stuck to just staining my decks!
I’m a widow on Social Security and can’t afford to replace my decks!
    Very Unhappy Customer –

    ADMIN – Hi Dawn,

We are sorry to hear about your deck.

  17. Delmas ward says:

I mailed new claim with pictures of damage on 4/25/18 to our decks. It took us several times to remove product as best we could leaving deck looking horrible. I received email 10/15/18 that claim deficiency needed receipts for supplies or contractor used for removal. We don’t have receipts made many trips to Lowe’s for removal products and we did work. We sent pictures and what we had. Product is horrible and we will probably have to replace all our decking. Notice gave us till 11/14/18 to submit additional evidence they just need to look at all the pictures to see we are not lying. Guess they need money more than customers. I have a can of the product used in removal-Jasco premium paint and epoxy removal this is what lowes said was only thing that would help

  18. P. Throesch says:

I have a claim # and now a Deficiency respond.
I applied Olympic RescueIt to outdoor deck I have over 2040 sq. feet of deck and balasters that I applied
paint to . The paint began to peel the next spring, I call the PPG and waited on the
phone for over an hour to tell them how bad Olympic Rescuet was and they said that they would
send out a letter that I could take to Lowes and get 8 gallon of paint and put a second coat on all
the surfaces and that should take care of the problem. I went to Lowes and picked up the 8 gallon, they did give me a receipt and also keep the letter from the company. I was not told by Lowes or PPG if I received
the 8 galllon that I could not go back on the company if that did not take care of my problem.
Subsequently, we applied the product to four large decks and an all the balasters. RescueIt has totally destroyed the pressure treated lumber. Not only is it flake and peel after a few months, the wood was rotten underneath. I submitted photos and requested documentation in 2017 as part of Class Actuon lawsuit. I was just notified that my claim was “insufficient” because I had released the company from any liability when
I accepted replacement of product. This is ridiculous – the damage had not yet appeared at the time of the replacement , why would I have wanted more of a product that was destroying the wood? We are looking at $13460.44 to replace all the decking, risers, and balasters that this product destroyed! This is a statement from a contractor just to fix some of the decks and replace one whole deck and many rotted boards. I have tryed to get information from Lowes but they do not keep record after a few years. I have tryed to call Traxler and all you can do is leave a message and then we get no replies from them. What else can I do to get help, we cannot afford to have the deck replace and repaired because of our age and income

    ADMIN – Hi Mr. P,

Reach out to class counsel and see if they have any pointers.

  19. Donna Adkins says:

I got snake bit twice with Rescue it. The first time I got the product replaced from Them with the same defective product. Wasn’t that a joy to have to scrape sand etc. and use the same thing? First time ever not been able to talk to someone representing Me legally. I do have questions such as do I have 2 claims? Just saying. Why isn’t there a contact phone number for this Lawsuit?

    ADMIN – Hi Donna,
We are not representing you. Our website is purely informational. The deadline for this case has passed and you may no longer file.

  20. jean a mcgee says:

I sent in my claim with estimates and pictures in February. Getting all the necessary requirements was a lot of work. From what I am seeing I will not be reimbursed for near what this fiasco cost me. However, I have never even been notified of whether or not I have been approved. I have a copy of all the paperwork and a number that came with the packet. How do I know that I am eligible for a settlement and even if my packet was received??

    ADMIN – Hi Jean,

On a prior comment I gave you the information for the class action administrator. Contact them

  21. jean a mcgee says:

I see in several of your reply’s to contact the class action administrator. There is no way to do this. As I have stated, I sent a whole packet in back in Feb. and have never heard anything. How do I even know if my info. was received?? Thanks

  22. Randy Boucher says:

I sent everything they ask for back in May 2018 and I received an email saying they received it. Then I heard nothing. I have e-mailed the administrator at RescueIt@administratorclassaction.com and still nothing. I think this was a scam.

    ADMIN – Hi Randy,

Escalate your concern to class counsel.
