Class Eligibility

You are a member of the settlement if you are a U.S. resident who is the original purchaser of a new Top-Load Washer for household use.

Estimated Amount

A refund in full and up to $400 in reimbursements. Some class members may be eligible for a cash rebate ranging from $25 to $85. Others may receive a one-time $50 cash-equivalent card.

Proof of Purchase

The product’s serial number is required. If you are submitting a claim for repair, class members must submit the proper documentation showing those expenses.

    DEFECTIVE DESIGN–SAMSUNG TOP LOAD WASHER–Just noticed that my 2nd replacement lid is already breaking at the hinge.  This lid was only installed 3 months ago and as far as I know it does not have a warranty like the 1st replacement did. My husband received a post card concerning the class action, but Samsung had already replaced the 1st damaged lid Sept. 2018. That lid almost made it to the end of the 1 yr warranty Samsung had on it. It was replaced this past Sept. 2019. Now the current replacement is breaking at the hinge. I’m very upset, because my husband and I are retired, and the machine, does not get over used at all.
