Call and stayed at both Holiday Inn a multiple times and the Holiday Express twice in that time frame..
I’ve called Holiday Inn during my holiday in December 2012 to inquire about some rates, and I gave the representative my full name, phone number, debit card number to book a room for myself. They didn’t mention that the calls are being recorded at all and now the have my debit card number and my name recorded, and I they might use it even If I’m not booking a room???
How long would it take for you people to reach a settlement ?
ADMIN – Hi Peggy,
On occasion it takes years. Be patient.
i have tried to call to get the claim form but know one answer the phone at the above number a card was sent to me telling me to call but no response.
ADMIN – Hi Eleanor,
If you continue to have issues contacting the admin consider reaching out to class counsel.
I called and booked rooms at holiday Inn and holiday Inn express during this time frame. Are you telling me they recorded all my credit card information? I am extremely careful about giving out my personal information like this and several times in the past few years my credit card information has been breached or hacked and the bank has had to cancel my card and issue a new one. I travel for a living and stay in hotels all over the country. At no time did holiday Inn or a booking agent ever say my call was being recorded or I would have hung up and booked the stay in person. This makes me wonder how many other companies are doing the same thing and not telling us the consumer. I want in on this class action lawsuit. Maybe if holiday Inn is fined and punished other companies will think twice about illegally recording private information.
I have many times. This is ridiculous.
we live, we learn, in this case thank heavens that someone found out what was going on, as hey LOK at all the I D theft these days.
typed a comment and it got error message SO here it is I D theft is Rampant so be wise keep your info SAFE
Reserved a room for my husband working in California ,the room was never used but my credit card info was recorded without my knowledge.
why do people reply to these posts with details about how this affects them? It’s not actually helping you to make a claim.
ADMIN – Hi Chris,
Perhaps they are venting their frustration.
That’s the whole point of a comments section. It’s a comment on what’s going on.
Could you please tell us how we consumers can maybe prevent this from happening in future. Is there anyway to tell if we are being recorded.? how can one ever trust any companys again?
ADMIN – Hi Carol,
If you call a company and they don’t do a recording statement ask if you are being recorded.
Called to book a room for my vacation giving all my information
I reserved a room to stay the night but I never realized I was being recorded so how am I supposed to trust this hotel or how should anybody else tis is not right
Booked a room months in advance and the day of check in they had no acknowledgement of it
I rented a room with my card
Still have not got my replacment check.
Neither have I. Website is not available. Phone number is unreachable.
Has anyone gotten the settlement check? I submitted claim, tried emailing, calling (got disconnected more than twice) with no response.
What recourse do we all have?
