You are a member of the class if you are the owner of one or several guns made by Taurus. The following models are included:

  • PT-111 Millennium
  • PT-132 Millennium
  • PT-138 Millennium
  • PT-140 Millennium
  • PT-145 Millennium
  • PT-745 Millennium
  • PT-609
  • PT-640
  • PT-24/7

$31 minimum

May be as high as $200

Here is a breakdown of the benefits:

  • Safety Training: The training will address the operation and handling of the pistols affected by the class action settlement. Click here for more information.
  • Payment Option: If Class Members opt to return their pistols to Taurus, they will receive a payment of up to $200, if 10,000 pistols are returned. The amount Class Members will receive will drop, if more than 10,000 pistols are returned. The minimum Class Members will receive is $31. Taurus will also cover the shipping costs to return the handguns.
  • Enhanced Warranty: Class Members will be able to submit a warranty claim at any time, under the terms of the deal. If a warranty claim is submitted, Taurus will inspect, repair, and/or replace the pistol, if necessary, at no cost to the Class Members. Taurus will also cover all shipping costs.

      With a striker fired pistol, or any pistol for that matter, a person shouldn’t rely on a “safety” to disallow the gun from discharging. Proper firearm handling will negate the necessity of a “safety.” The person handling the firearm IS THE SAFETY!

        Agreed! I never chamber a bullet unless ready to use. I was taught this as a boy. Use it in this way and there is no need of relying on the safety. The gun is accurate and has never misfired with me after 200 rounds.

          You were improperly taught and obviously are not in law enforvement or the military. A “non-chambered” firearm is a useless firearm. If you have a CCW I’d highly recommend investing in a training class. Trust me, the bad guys your enemy or target have one in the chamber. While your chambering your weapon, they have already shot you. Plus there are so MANY situations in which you need that lifesaver ready to roll. From driv8ng in a vehicle with little room and a seat belt in the way, or if you need to be stealth, quick draw in a firefight or your hear someone downstairs while your family is asleep and at risk of becoming a statistic. Just a couple examples, not being a douche, just saying you may want to revisit your “training”

    I bought 2- Taurus 24/7 hand guns new at Academy, And they want to give me $200.00 and I paid $379.00 for them, no way. And I know 3-people that sent their gun to have it fixed been 3-months and Taurus still can’t tell them when they will receive them back. Both of these guns fired while on safety when I checked them out 2 out of 5 times and 1 out of 3 times. I am just stuck with them and hope that none of these guns ever get sold and cost a life. I loved these guns but I will never buy another Taurus again. Just Boat Anchors.

        I live in Canada so I was told I am not included as it is only for USA Citizens. You would think that If Taurus was a company who cared about their clients they would cover my gun even though I am not in the USA. I have 2 Taurus guns and always liked the company, but I will never purchase another from them!

      it bull sh– they want to give a pt111 9mm no matter what it was sent in , don’t think so. im sending to tauras, if it cant be fixed then they can replace with a comparable model and proper caliber

        Just got called today from Taurus the only replacement option is a pt111g2 no matter what you sent in. I had a 24/7 full size and a pt145 and they are only offering a 111 for each gun.

          How long did it take for them to get back to you on it? I sent mine about 1 month ago and called last night. It took 40 minutes before someone took the call and 5 minutes for her to tell me that they have my gun, but they are still looking at if they will fix it or send a new one.

            FedEx picked my two up on November 17, 2017, I retrieved two new pistols (G2 model, FDE frame, black slide They are only sending 9mm, no matter the caliber you send them) on March 30, 2018. They take calls until 9:00pm est, and the wait time is generally shorter after 5:00pm est. It is a wait, but better than an unintentional discharge. Because of the recall the majority of liability is on us if someone got hurt with a known defective pistol. I encourage all to stay in touch with customer service after they send the firearm. Taurus is busier than sin on Fat Tuesday, or only have two phone reps, and I was not informed the FFL was in possession until I called Taurus. It takes significantly longer than the 6-8 weeks they suggest, but the time is nothing compared to what can happen if not addressed. Hope this helps.

    I have several Taurus pistols,even bought one for my mother for personal protection,I have no intention of sending a gun back to Taurus for less than I paid for it,don’t want them to fix it,I don’t know I could trust that,what can we do to have them trade the faulty guns for the upgraded gen 2,you would think if you had loyal customers they would be willing to do that to make the situation better for the customer,I have not been able to get any one involved to answer that question.I believe that this could be the end of Taurus due to the way they have disappointed there faithful customers,not for the recall,stuff happens,but more the way they are handling it with the payout and so called repair.

      Im very happy with my pro 45 Millennium. Imhave no safety issues. The only problem i have is the firing pin is striking on the primer lightly and i can’t seem to find a firing pin anywhere. Were can i get one

    Hi, I just purchased a Taurus PT111 G2. I had watched videos and thought I had seen enough to warrant buying one, Well I found a good deal and purchased it and it came in yesterday. I picked it up and went to a holster place and the guy said pull it out and we will find the right holster for you. I opened the box and pulled the gun out of the plastic bag and it was soaked through with oil. The guy grabbed a towel and tried to clean up the mess but it would not stop leaking. He said to go home and clean it first because it would mess up his holsters,OK. When I got home and took it apart I was almost sick to see how dirty it was inside and the more I cleaned the more dirt there was. Lots of wear on parts. The slide has a bad scar in the ejection port. Failure to eject? The barrel has lots of scars and rust in the grooves. I thought for sure somehow Taurus had sent me a used piece. After reading some forums it seems they all come that way.I will have to take it to a gunsmith to have it cleaned. It has dark dried up funk in the slide rails. I have pics to back all of this up. Just a warning, it might be a great shooter when I get it back but a good friend and I have been cleaning it all day and it is still nasty. I guess we’ll see.

    I was given a Taurus PT145 as a gift. It is in like new condition and I have no problem hitting a target. A very low recoil for a .45. My question is, is the safety issue the only recall problem with this gun. I never have a bullet chambered unless ready to fire. If this is the only issue, I may keep this gun because of the accuracy since I am the only one who shoots it.

      As long as it’s only a range pistol, you should be fine. Never use it as a defensive weapon. Unscrupulous prosecutors and plaintiff’s attorneys will claim that your justifiable shooting was an unintentional discharge. This could have disastrous legal consequences for you.

    I thought i understood the (deadline) was the amount of time you had to opt out of the claim process so you would still have the ability to sue on your own, all the information i read lead me to this conclusion, i just came across the class action suit on accident looking up stuff on my pistol about a week ago. if the time frame is true those in charge of this very poorly got the information out to the public, i purely use my gun for protection so im not on gun sites daily looking at news related to my weapon. i understood it was still on hold due to the appeals process as the final ruling is still in limbo. i have two of these guns and now i find i cannot trust them. i tried using the contact us page on the classaction lawsuit page and it took me to the registration page to sign up and it gave me a message they would contact me when it is ok to send the gun along with information on how to do it, i hope they follow through with this, i have been a taurus fan for a good while.

    I signed up for this lawsuit a couple of times and have yet to hear or receive any notice. I have contacted Taurus several times which they just tell me it’s still pending then direct me to old links.I own a stainless steel pt140 millennium and boy was it a waste of $360. The gun jams and drops magazines it doesn’t matter which factory one I try to use. Over the past few years I may have put 200 rounds through the gun. Them offering $200 or less per gun is outrageous they should be refunding the total amount. I’ve looked around and the second gen doesn’t come in stainless steel so yet again I would be getting the short end of the stick. They have lost a repeat customer in me.

      $200? That’s top dollar on a sliding scale when less than 10,000 guns are returned. The amount goes down as more guns are returned. Maybe this will change is the appeal process, but I kind of doubt it.

    This is maddening. I sent a PT111 G1 in to Taurus for repair, unaware of the class action and settlement. Taurus wouldn’t tell me anything except refer to the website. The website is worthless as far as information goes. So Taurus has my firearm, won’t tell me when (or if) I’ll be getting it back or a replacement. I’m pretty sure I’m out the $.

    So I’m just joining this conversation. I located a firearm in storage that was a gift. Before taking it to the range I had a gunsmith give it the once over. That is when I learned the pistol had been involved in a recall. So is Taurus no longer honoring the recall.

I too have been waiting for the appeals process to be completed … just like the website instructed me to do … every now and then I would log on to see if there was any change in the information. I just now happened on to this page and find I may be stuck with it as is … I have a pt 24/7 that I would like to keep but I just wanted to ensure by Taurus that it would be safe. What now? Am I too late or do I want to risk sending it in to pistol purgatory? Some better information would have helped.

    Settle down! The lawsuit has been challenged so it will take a bit longer. However because of that the Lifetime unconditional warranty is also on hold. Taurus will not return ANY PT140 thru the PT745 regardless of what is wrong with it because of the Class action. But what they will do is replace your gun with the new model free of charge. We are simply waiting for the Court to rule.

    I too am mystified and frustrated by this settlement. Taurus is supposed to pay for all costs including shipping the gun to them for replacement and the settlement website mentions printing out a shipping label but I don’t see how to do it. I agree with the above comments that if you don’t have a round chambered, the safety glitch is a non-issue, but what about when you pause half way through a mag and return to holster? Its too bad that this safety/drop issue exists as I like the way the gun feels and shoots.

    A gunsmith friend told me the other day that Taurus contacted him on a PT140 that they have had for over a year now. Sent him paperwork for the customer to sign and three days later had a new PT140 G2 delivered. So maybe they are getting to the replacements as they have weapons available or in order they received them.

    Sosoglad to finally find some current info on this. Taurus has had my pt111 for almost a year now, I sent it in for a broken trigger not knowing about the lawsuit. So at first I was excited that I could be getting a brand new gun to replace the used beater that I bought. But now I wish I had just kept it and replaced the trigger myself. Their customer service and the website is nothing but a big runaround of crap that does nothing to instill any confidence in the customer. Ive talked to customer service three times and always come away more pissed than the last time. I know these guns are very tempting to buy because of the price, hell I have looked at several others since sending mine in but I wont get fooled again. I advise all that I can to think twice before you buy. Yeah its got a lifetime warranty but its doing me no good right now. Loved the purgatory bit. Id like to thank Taurus for pushing me to buy a Glock. It comes with a one year warranty that Ill never need.

    Sent a pt 145 in for a failure to feed problem over a year ago b4 i found out about the lawsuit and now its also in purgatory. They will not send it back because of the saftey recall. And they cant do anything else until all the court rulings are finnished. So here i sit waiting with everyone else. Other than this infuriating wait I loved my pt 145 and would buy another one if they would let me. My biggest problem with taurus is thAt they keep dicontinuing models . I find one I like and b4 I can buy one they stop making them. Very frustrating.

    The claims period will begin to run on October 9, 2017, and end on February 6, 2018.
    * On October 2, 2017, Defendants will send a direct notice to all Class M em bers who have
    registered their Class Pistols and update the Class Website with information about the
    claims process. Defendants will also provide notice through the PR Newswire Service
    during the week of October 2, 2017. All notices will highlight the state law restrictions on

    I have a PT 24/7 Pro DS 9 mm 17 round magazine in excellent condition. It cost $379.00 plus tax new in 2009 at Academy.
    I understand they would replace it with a PT 111 Millenium 12 round subcompact pistol.
    Why won’t they replace it with the Taurus 92 pistol which is more comparable? I think I will just keep what I have and take my chances on getting parts etc. if needed.

    Downloaded all my paper work from the class action attorney site Sunday night 10/15/17. Packaged my PT745 in a medium Fedex shipping box per instructions received and called Fedex hazard shipping at 8:00am Monday morning 10/16/17. It was picked up from my home by Fedex at 12:39pm today. Just checked the tracking number from the label and it’s on it’s way to Miami Florida for a Wednesday 10/18/17 delivery! By the way the attorney site is now shut down so you need to go to the secondary site for the video and downloading the paperwork.

    The settlement time frame was extended because some filed a protest, which expired September 30, 2017. Taurus is now processing claims for the firearms listed on the site. Taurus Class Action

    You have the choice of receiving a payment of $31 to $200, depending on how many guns are returned for the cash. Your second choice is to send the gun in for inspection and/or repair with an extended warranty. If the gun can be repaired, it will be and sent back to you with a lifetime warranty. If it can’t be repaired, you will receive a comparable caliber/model gun in return. According to the settlement website, there doesn’t seem to be a repair, so more than likely you will receive a new pistol. Read the entire website for information, it is explained very well.     I sent in my PT145 as soon as the ok was given to do so. It’s now 10 weeks later and nothing. I have contacted them twice for status. The first time i was told they were hoping for 6 week turn around. The second time i am told there is no “ETA on the process” they suck!! At this point they can keep the thing. I will never own another Taurus. Maybe that is what they are hoping. Everyone just give up and forget about it.

    Just got off the phone to find out the status of my 640. Very nice lady, pleasant and polite. Told me this was not a recall, not to expect my forearm to be inspected for months (even though I received a letter stating it should be done by now), that after inspection (in several months) they may just send the firearm back to me if no defect is found (that’s not how understood a defect in a recall was handled – I never had a problem so I may get a defective gun back) or they will repair it or they will replace it with an equivalent millennium of which they only make in 9mm (which is definitively not equivalent to a 40 call). I indicated that in the case of replacement a 9mm by definition is not equivalent. She informed me by apparent script that it was. Interesting. I may find myself never dealing with Taurus ever again based on this experience. Sad, I have a safe of Taurus weapons too. Sounds like a gun show is in my future.

    I have been checking this whole fiasco for a very long time. All of the information that comes up is garbage. Today I clicked on these two: Settlement Website and Taurus Guns Registration Form. This is what came up on my computer: Invalid Security Certificate. Count me out-I’m done!

    The official page for that settlement was created before the requirement for https was rolled. There are many websites that for one reason or another have failed to make the necessary updates. That does not mean that the settlement is not real. It means their IT group does not have their ducks in a row.

    Taurus has my 24/7 .40 cal, been there since early October, Packaged per instructions, shipped and was accepted. Been checking the repair status (pending) now all of a sudden it is telling me “invalid serial number or zip code” but neither has changed. I however can use the serial number on the site to show details for my pistol specs. Currently on hold with them for 30+ minutes.

      Took 55 minutes to get through to them. Spoke to “elsa” @ Taurus. She advised that all recall pistols will not show up on the “repair status checker”. Once the pistol has completed inspection Taurus will contact us. Current replacement pistols are the PT111G2 which happens to be a 9mm. (not sure if another model may come available).

    I’ve owned a pt 24/7 G2. For a few years now .carry 1 chambered all the time .no problems .whats the difference in the pt 24/7 and the pt 24/7 G2? The G2 isnt in the recall list . Is it safe or does it have same problems??

    This settlement is the biggest farce pulled over on Taurus owners I have ever seen. If you return your firearm you are told there is no fix or repair so Taurus mat replace your firearm. When you complete the online paperwork through the court administrator they tel you it will take a few weeks. When Taurus receives your firearm they will tell you six weeks. Months later they will tell you they are working on the fix that does not and will not exist, that they have no idea when you may ever see your firearm again and just keep asking back . I have been waiting literally for months. In the mean time they do not answer your phone calls and getting help online is like climbing Mount Everest.

    The only folks who are going to come out OK are the lawyers who apparently forgot their clients ARE the class member. They are going to come out real OK and the people who wasted their money on Taurus firearms are being tossed under the bus. I guarantee when this is all said and done people are going to loose thier firearms and /or investment . If you returned your firearm for a check you’ll be lucky if you get $31.00. If Taurus learned anything about their bad practices they figured out how to buy off the plaintiffs attorneys. This is nothing lest than a freaking scam. I just hope the public has enough sense to not touch a Taurus product in the future and lets these rats sink in red ink.

And if you drop your gun you don’t need it cuz the bad guy is probably going to take it from you . So if you drop it with a live round in the chamber with no enemy present the you possible and probably deserve to shot yourself other than the bad guy and the G2 is a great gun buy the way .

    I have been trying to find the paperwork to sent in a PT24/7 for many hours and I am close to where I started. I have never seen such a debacle as this. Sending in a pistol for inspection should be straight forward unless you don’t want to do your commitment. Who is responsible to see that this Class Action is done? SAD!

    My PT 140 Millennium misfired at least 1 out of 5 anyway. It was never much more than a brick to hold down a stack of targets. It wasn’t worth anything to gun shops, they couldn’t fix it and I wasn’t about to pawn the unreliable weapon off on anyone else. An expensive learning experience. I will never buy another Taurus! I got the six week notification letter from Taurus last year. I guess its worth the paper it is written on.

    Well they received my PT111Pro on the 8th of January, chatted after i received my letter where they confirmed receipt. I was told it would take up to 6 weeks, 6 weeks would have been the 19th of February, 21st of February chatted again, “they have decided to replace with G2 Brown/Black”, no other options, take it or leave it. Verified my FFL info, Taurus internal request submitted for replacement, will take 7 to 15 business days to process the request, they do not provide any notifications at any time. Guess i will chat again when my 7 business days have passed, my gut says they will sit on it until the 15th business day or until i check on status after the 15th business day. Already started trying to find someone interested in buying the replacement gun if/when it gets to me. After this, i might be finding an interested party in a 709Slim. Saw an ad the other day for a nice looking carry size 1911 that was a Taurus, doubt i will be investigating that one any further. Sad a little customer service could make a bad situation a little better or tolerable, but it is almost like they want to put anyone who sends an unsafe pistol back through as much grief as possible, like they are offended you are taking advantage of them. Looks to me like they would want to get unsafe pistols out of the hands of their customers. It will be interesting to see if Taurus will be willing to reimburse me when/if i have to pay to have the replacement pistol
    transferred to me.

      I did the same and the frame is a little beefier, has a 1917/picatinny rail slot (I am going with a forward grip), originally mine were both black, but received two FDE frame/black slide pistols. Trigger has added safety switch, similar to Glock, etc. The rear sight has W/E adjustments–two tools included–and the edges of the slide are better for concealed carry. Also, the plate on the back of the slide, holding the firing mechanism, is much more pronounced suggesting higher quality. Off the top of my head, those are nice changes from the PT111 and PT111 Pro.
      However, they were my first semi-automatic pistols and, candidly, what I trained with most for the first two years. In short, the springs were done in both I have not shot the old ones much in the past 6-7 years, and carried them even less. There are upgrades/improvements, but also claims of the same serious issue of discharge when dropped or hit. Conversely, all striker fire pistols can have this issue. Yes, even Glock, because I have seen it happen.

    I purchased a brand new old stock 24/7 pro 40, I never shot it, it was 15 days old. I turned it in to be fixed or upgraded and they trashed it! Sent me a cheap lousy slim 40. Where is the justice in this? The values did not compare at all in price? I hope some day they are forced to reimburse people who have been cheated.

    I sent my gun and back in October of 2017 and I still have not received the call about when it will be returned or fixed or replaced today is March 14th 2018 I tried calling once and they told me that they are calling customers one at a time to make sure their addresses are correct and the FFL where the gun is being sent is correct if they don’t get to me bye June of 2018 my FFL will no longer have his license I live in a rule area and this puts me at about a 30 mile drive to pick it up from a different store you can never get an answer from Taurus when you call I’m calling BS this is no way to treat a customer I’ve read some of the other reports and yes I paid more than $200 for my PT111 and I will not accept $200 for my gun I will accept for it to be repaired or replaced but that doesn’t seem to be happening I’m thinking maybe a whole nother lawsuit just on customer service alone it didn’t take them that long to take my money and sell me this POS. The fact of the matter is they knew this was coming and they did nothing to prepare for it my gun had been locked away for a year and a half waiting for the case to be over and time to be able for me to send it in so the $315 I have wrapped up in this gun has been sitting stagnant for 3 years now because this case was supposed to be settled in July of 2017 I have noticed there’s not one YouTube channel that talks about this maybe I’ll start one

    Wanted to post my experience so others can set expectations. I sent in a Stainless PT111 and 2 extra mags(4 total) that Customer support stated would be replaced if sent in at the same time.

    Paperwork filed 10/31/17
    Sent Firearm 11/1/17
    FedEx shows delivered 11/3/17
    Received Call stating they are processing and had questions 1/30/18
    Returned call 1/31/18(approx wait time 45 minutes)
    *at this point they stated they would not replace any extra magazines, and I would be shipped a standard steel instead of a stainless steel gun. Not have any options at this time(I don’t want a defective gun back) I accepted* ETA was 1 month.
    Called 4/9/18(approx wait time again 45 minutes) asking status, they said they had shipped my replacement 3/9 and it was in my FFL’s possession as of 3/13.
    4/9/18 Stopped by my FFL and sure enough they had it, with my name on it but no other contact info. I guess Taurus expects both me and my FFL to just know when they ship items(or have hours a week to spend on hold waiting for CS). Replacement is Brown(yet another surprise I don’t appreciate) frame and standard steel slide, no extra mags, manufacture date of 11.10.2017.
    4/9/18 Used Chat function(approx wait time 5 mins) to find out how to submit my FFL fees and agent said they will send out extra mags since they had stated they would(YMMV).
    4/9/18 submitted for reimbursement of FFL transfer fees.

    Since the claims site is down again, all questions are being routed to 1-844-528-0180

    I am told to get reimbursement for FFL transfer fees to send a copy of my store receipt to – since I just started that process I can’t say if it’s correct or how long it takes.

    I had a Sig P320 that also may go off when dropped that I shipped at exactly the same time. I had it back in less than 2 weeks even though Sig said it might take up to a month. They also provided a 25% discount code. In a perfect world I wouldn’t have to be out of a gun at all, but all things considered their process was not bad.

    I have a PT145 that I will not be sending in, as they cannot repair or replace like-for-like(will probably get another brown PT111), and the process has been so awful that even though I like the pistols, I will probably never get another Taurus.

    Turned my PT145 in to Taurus on February 26th, they confirmed receipt and sent me a time frame of 12 weeks for repair??? Not sure what they are repairing; from what I understand, the PT145 will be replaced and not repaired.
    Couldn’t be more unhappy with the sorry way that Taurus has treated it’s customers. I will never buy another crappy Taurus again and tell everyone that I talk to about the horrible experience so far with this ‘turn in’. The recall didn’t bug me, but the class action suit settlement and the aftermath suck.
    One would think that a company recalling a defective product would do everything in their power to restore customer confidence and perform damage control on their reputation. Not these geniuses. I paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $450 for this hand gun that is unsafe – they offer some piddly amount for turn in, don’t have a direct replacement for my caliber and then take 12 weeks to ‘repair’.

    I turned in a PT145 and it was replaced. Taurus took 3 months to send back to me stating that he gun shop will have all needed information to contact me. when i contacted the gun store they just had a box with no information to whom it belonged to. the did find my name on the shipping label but had no contact information. when they told me that Taurus returned a 1111 9mm. I guess it is a good thing that i did not send them a 12 gauge shot gun i would have gotten back a pellet gun. TAURUS STOLE MY 45.

    Returned daughter’s PT111 in December. Per their instructions, using their prepaid label, etc. Selected Dick’s Sporting Goods in Mt. Pleasant, MI as FFL dealer to handle transaction on return item, This came off TAURUS’s own list of dealers, not many dealers in our state to begin with. (Note that none were really convenient, but this was the closest.) Daughter was shopping there today and stopped by the gun counter to see if they knew anything. Was told, “We would never do such a thing. We would refuse and return shipment, We don’t sell handguns. We don’t sell that brand.” I selected Dick’s long before their present new stance on AR type firearms.

    Guess I have an adventure awaiting me trying to get through Taurus Customer service to find another vendor to handle the transfer and paperwork. Her replacement item may be lost in limbo forever.

I just found out about lawsuit when I tried buying replacement spring kit. Can anyone answer weather or not they will still honor fix or replace before I send mine in & I never see it again or don’t get a replacement.

    I shipped my Taurus Pro 24/7 with all the paperwork, identified a FFL, etc. as instructed back on January 12, 2018. Have copies of all documents and FedEx shipping receipt. It’s now Friday May 11, 2018 and I have made contact with original law firm multiple times only to be told by them to call Taurus customer service telephone line which had nothing but recorded messages regarding FAQ’s about the lawsuit.

    So, I followed the instructions, filled out all the appropriate forms and included those needed in shipment as instructed. And 5 months later, I still have no old pistol or a fixed pistol or perhaps a new pistol to replace my old one which never gave me a minute of trouble. Also have had no contact from anyone regarding this lawsuit, or the status of my claim. I’m so frustrated with this whole messed up situation. Now wished I had just kept my old pistol and ignored all this crap.

    Taurus received my PT-24/7 on 11/27/2017. I called them a couple of times with no avail. I vitied today (5/18/2018) to their website, entered my firearm serial number and zip code. Then I saw that Taurus had really received my firearm. So what? I then decided to go on a “Chat” session with Taurus. After few clicks I was informed by their Customer Service representative “Marc” that they are going to replace my firearm. I gave them my FFL info and they are processing the shipment. Moral of the story: no phone calls to Taurus.
    P.S. I know that I will be happy when I see the replacement.

    I am reading all the other stories about this recall.Something that is concerning is i have reached out to Taurus it took awhile before talking to someone that is frustrating. But my main concern is are they go fix are just replace my Millenum Pro 640. Because how is it possible for them to get away with send anything different than what I as a consumer send them. I sent my off on May 03 at 4:30 and Taurus emailed me saying it had been received May 09 which is not bad timing. So please if possible can someone inform me if i will receive a different model gun are same model. From the way I understood this is the recall is illreversable. Taurus is just replacing with upgraded model of same caliber. But I hope it doesn’t take 12weeks to get my gun are a replacement. Anybody that has evidence please respond with real truth. What is this FFL stuff I’m in Texas hope I don’t have to pay to get my own gun back. Thanks all

    I am getting the info together to send my PT 140 Millenium Pro back for the Enhanced Warranty repair or replacement option . Most have commented that Taurus is sending a 9 mm PT 111 G2 as a replacement without choice . Since I bought a 40 cal , Taurus should replace it if its needed with a PT 140 G2 . If this is true , it will cost me again to trade up to a 40 cal at my gun dealer since Taurus won’t do the right thing with their customers .

    I sent my PT 24/7 9mm back to Taurus on 1/31/18 requesting cash back. I got letter back stating that I should hear in 6-8 weeks.
    They further stated that it was in repair!! That is not what I asked for!!
    Have been totally unable to speak to a person on this even though I have made numerous calls.
    If I were to receive cash back it is extremely unlikely that it would be $200. Much lower probably.
    Anyone else having communication problems?
    This thing is being totally mishandled…..never again.

    I sent back a 24/7pro 40 stainless. Am being told my ONLY option is the g2c 9mm blued, a slim 40 blued (6+1), OR, they will see d me back my 24/7, but ONLY with a “not safe” letter with releases them of their liability.

    I sent the gun back under the primis that it would be repaired, or replaced with a similar gun.
    The g2c 9mm is not similar to the 24/7 40cal.

    So essentially they have stolen my firearm, and are blackmailing me to get me to waive liability, or to take a much lesser gun as a replacement.

    Has anyone started a lawsuit regarding the replacement guns being of lesser value/not similar to the gun sent in?
    Or how they will not return your gun unless you allow them to accompany it with a “not safe” letter which releases them of their liability?

    How does someone start a lawsuit like this of one has not been started already? And if one has, how do I get involved?

    Sent my pt140 in under the warranty, was never contacted that it failed inspection. Unfortunately since i live in California i will not be receiving a replacement. I do not want to receive the potential 200 dollar payout since i paid way more than 200 for my firearm. It is going to be a year since i have sent in my firearm that i have not received any notice or call or anything on what will be happening or what options i have. Every time i call they tell me to just wait for an email. I’m just overall disappointed with Taurus as to how us here in california are being handled. If they can not work something out with me and force the payout on me, i will no longer purchase anything from Taurus ever again.
