Case Name
Cline, et al. v. TouchTunes Music Corp.,Case No. 1:14-cv-04744-LAK District Court for the Southern District of New York
Case Summary
TouchTunes is a provider of digital jukebox services and also operates a mobile App which allows users to purchase credits to play songs on its digital jukeboxes. To use TouchTunes’ services, users agree to its Terms of Use. Plaintiffs claim that, before October 28, 2013, the Terms of Use did not adequately inform TouchTunes’ users that a song they purchased using credits from the mobile App might not play due to the ability of a person to skip a purchased song using a TouchTunes-branded remote control. TouchTunes denies that its Terms of Use were misleading, and no court or other entity has made any judgment or other determination of any wrongdoing or that the law has been violated.

WOW 1 WOPPING CREDIT!
CANT TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES I GOT SKIPPED!
ADMIN – Hi JoAnna,
A whole credit just for you.
Is this for real? Your sueing for a juke box credit? First off, at the touchtunes jukeboxs here in northern California anyway. It costs you a minimum of 2 credits to play a song. That’s for songs on a list, that was formed by, ? who knows, not anybody that listens to good music anyway. So if you want to hear a song that isn’t on the list, its gonna cost you 2 more credits, for a total of 4 credits now. Then if you choose the “play it next” option. Which gives your song priority over selected songs before it, as long as they weren’t also selected with the “play it next” option, that’s another 2 credits. So now were up to 6 credits. 6 credits at all the jukeboxs in this town equals $1.50. That’s 1 song for $1.50, which ive done many times only to have the bartender skip my song. Many times this has happened. Honestly, if I were to somehow recoup all that cash, the total would probly be closer to $200. That’s not including, pain and suffering for having to sit through what ever lame song it was that the bartender skipped mine to hear, probly for the 5th time that hour. Sueing for one credit is a joke.
ADMIN – Hi Brandon,
You could always object.
You all are acting like this site decides the settlement offers, which is hilarious.
ADMIN – Hi Lex,
This site decides everything in the Universe 😉
Are you sure that’s one whole credit and not one half credit ? I don’t even play juke box any more .it is such a ripoff
Proof of purchase for 1 credit? Are they out of their damn minds?
It my money and I want it now!!!!
ADMIN – Hi Pablo,
I think this settlement is not a money settlement.
