You are a Class Member if you purchased, or were given as a gift a product purchased, from a Wal-Mart Retail Location, Sam’s Club Retail Location, or online from Walmart.com or Samsclub.com for delivery within the United States, to whom Wal-Mart gave a refund or credit, but where the amount of sales tax refunded or credited was less than the full amount of sales tax paid at the time the product was purchased.

      I fought with customer service 3 seperate times.they twisted carp around until in the end.between the 3 visited of returns.I’ve been shorted over $74 .I will not go back to the stores.on line yes but they had me in tears my last visit.leaving feeling like trash.

    I had this happen at the Walmart Store in Beebe, Arkansas store once. When I complained, she said I could file suit if the $7.07 made that much difference, but it was company policy because I can send the receipt into the Arkansas Sales Tax Department to get my money refunded. I never did because no one at the Arkansas Department knew anything about it and that I should take up my dispute with Walmart. The lady I talked with said she had a couple of other calls that were similar to mine but did not know what happened. This was in March of 2015 but I do not remember the exact day.

    The other two times it happened, the difference was less than a dollar’s worth each time. I’m glad enough other people are speaking up about this problem.

    Interesting. This happened to me on 2 different occasions.and neither time could the clerks give me a valid answer. Their response was “this is company policy” and “this is how the register calculates the difference”. I am not someone who accepts no for an answer very well and I continued to push, but even the manager could not explain. Since it was not a lot of money I figured my blood pressure was more important than the difference, so I let it slide. Obviously somebody else pushed for this class action. Thank you.

    I’m shocked & chagrined that so many people have experienced the exact same problem w/refunds here. An acquaintance of mine just informed me of this class action suit and I would definitely like to participate. This has occurred on several occasions & no one [sales clerks], has ever been able to provide an acceptable explanation. Please include me in on this & let me know what additional steps are required on my behalf by the above-mentioned deadline.
